As dumb as it sounds, not really sure yet.

Well, whatever it is, I am hoping for the best. I know what its like to be out of work, albeit a short time, it still sucks though. Lost my job of 11 years about 4 years ago and though I am in a much better place as a result, it wasn't much consolation at the time.

Thanks guys. Not going to be easy though. For one, I'm 53. Not too many places want to hire someone older, although they're the ones that usually get the work done. And another, I'm having health problems. I've had a doctors excuse for 4 months now, to not do what I'm doing, and still doing the same thing. That's the main reason they want to let me go. They claim there's nothing else for me to do. Actually, they're probably right about that. At least I'll be able to collect unemployment until I get something else.

It turns out, the decisions made whilst deprived of proper rest can be both bad, and really, really good.

This one was the latter.

Love it!

Love this blade. A one off from BCUSA:

Super nice man.

Love this too. Very good looking.

Looks like I'll be losing my job of 15 years in a month or so. Woo hoo.

Don't really love to hear that... I do hope it can work out quite OK for you. Sucks man...

Ugh, that sucks man. Weren't you having thoughts on quitting cause they were treating you like crap? Might be a blessing in disguise? Hope something pops up for you soon.

I sure was, but it's kind of scary at my age. If I were young, I would have told them to eff off long ago...

Could be a blessing. And thanks.

The last of the baby boomers we are it seems, and the youngers these days have less respect, methinks. I get it more and more, today was such a day.
I trust the master of all life shall keep you in His providential care.

Sending up some smoke today for everybody. Seems like lots of folks around here falling on some not so stellar events in their lives.

Warrior your next place of employment will seem like heaven compared to the previous job, no matter what or where it is!

Aiki, I too wonder where the hoss man is!

Been missing that Worldwood cat around here too.

Such low post counts these days! people actually getting away from their computers! Makes me kinda jealous

Thanks man, appreciate that. I went to work today, with mixed emotions. It was hard to want to do a good job, but it's just in me to do so, so I did it well.

Its a shame thats a one off. Thats a damn nice looking piece.
Man, tell me about it. The guy that made it is a custom knife maker. Usually, he does scandi bushcraft type knives.

Thanks man. I agree, it will seem like heaven, but, like most jobs, they get old fast, haha.

Sorry about your Job situation Dubs. Is that the same place that let you go then begged you back ?

Thanks man. Yes, it's the same place, but now a major corporation took over. They seem to dislike the people that were already there, like me. They favor the ones they hire new. They desire corporate kiss asses that run and tell on you for the slightest thing. And that's not me, so...

Sounds Toxic brother. Leaving might be a blessing.

Definitely, just a little scary. Unemployment only pays about half, but, better than nothing I guess. I wish I would have been smart, and learned knife making long ago. I'd probably be in a position to make some extra income. If I don't get something soon, my JEEP will have to go. Won't need that payment, fo sho. I wish I could move to Missouri, but it's out of the question for now, unless, that is, I leave the wife here, haha.
