Being a regular at the liquor store finally paid off! The woman left me with the baby so she could run the booth for her church the last shift of the local Octoberfest, supposedly 9-11. She got pulled into helping them tear down and put stuff back in the church. My beer supply fate hinged on the hope that she would return before 12 am(Blue laws, no beer sold on Sun.) . She rolled in at 11:52pm. I get to the liquor store at 12, door is locked, guy is counting drawer. He sees me and lets me in, "You're a regular, I gotta let you in!". Best thing that's happened this weekend.

Sez you!
Seriously, what brand of longbow, and what specs? I want to get a good takedown (2 piece) when I get home, been looking at a Tomahawk brand, but the new ones are wicked expensive!
It's a bamboo backed hickory bow, 30" draw length, 72# draw weight, made by a vendor at the local renaissance festival, which brand name I can't remember. Arm is a bit sore today; got off about 50 arrows and that 72# draw hurts after a while, especially since it doesn't have a let-off like a compound bow.
Bears Offense has finally outscored the Bears Defense in a game, first time in 3 weeks. They are winning 41-3... At half time the game was tied at 3.
Been searching for a while to remember the name. I think the place is called Renaissance Leather, as they also make leather products. But I can't find the card I got from them right nowVery nice! Let me know if you recall the bowyer, those are some hard to find stats for a longbow. I'm a fan of heavier-weight draws.
You MUST bring some of that the gathering!
there are bears roaming downtown chicago?
it's worse than I thought.
