Missed my leg by a few inches. It also took a nice chunk out of the top of my workbench. Im glad it didnt hit me the thing will cleanly shave hair. Sucks because now I have to spend about $20 on a new wheel.

Glad you didn't hurt yourself.

Where do I PP $20 to for a new wheel?

Got a couple new little toys in this week, Vic Black Alox Pioneer and Streamlight Microlight. Loving these two so far, perfect pocket buddies.

Just got home from a Rob Zombie/Marilyn Manson/Powerman 5000 show. HOLY CRAP Rob puts on one hell of a show!
I was in the middle/center. However I realized the interpreter that was there was a friend of mine so I got moved to the very front (2nd row/center). I just pretended I was deaf and the security dudes figured I belonged up there I guess. Either way, I can't go to work tomorrow since I only hear ringing.

Dude, that show was AMAZING! Rob had animatronics, and pyrotechnics and music that was loud as HELL!

They also showed a 5 minute trailer for his new movie (Lots of tittaaaaayyyys... It IS a Rob Zombie flick)

But yeah, the guy who needs to HEAR for his living, can't hear. God I'm dense, I should have seen that one coming!

Wife and I decided to do another run to Starved Rock State Park. Should be better this time. Last time it was in the 90's, today's high is 53, so good hiking weather. Hopefully we'll see some good fall colors, and since we've had more rain, the waterfalls should be better. Leaving here in a bit. Take it easy guys.

I got me another rifle yesterday. I traded a bk16 for it.

It's a winchester single barrel break action 12 ga. I can't wait to shoot it.

Pix soon!

Enjoy the hike! We've got full fall colors to the North, so hopefully you get what you're looking for.

I'm headed out to pick up my Springfield pocket canon in a couple hours. Man, wait periods suck...especially when you've essentially been waiting 2 months to find one, the 48 hours is kind of an insult at the end.

Puppy went in for his 3rd round of shots today and to get scheduled for "the big snip" -- at 6 months he's already bigger than the one we lost this spring, 46 pounds. He's going to be a monster -- already wants to drive, I;'m dreading the day he decides he wants a becker of his own...

Didn't even go. Wife is being super bitchy today.

Eh, we're getting ready to go now. Won't have as much time to explore, but, what the hell.

So, a Beckerhead goes on a backpacking trip across Europe. Walking for hours in a remote rural area without seeing a soul, he finally encounters a old man mending a fence in a field. The Beckerhead greets the man and asks his name. The old fella scowls in disgust, spits, and points to a mountain in the distance.

"You see that mountain? When I was a young man, I climb that mountain. First one ever to make the top. But do the people in town call me 'Luigi the Mountain Climber'? No they do not." Next, Luigi gestures towards a stone bridge that spanned a river winding through the pastures.

"You see that bridge? I build that bridge with my own two hands and everybody in town is happy to use it. But do they call me 'Luigi the Bridge Builder'? No they do not." Luigi sweeps an arm at the vast pastures behind him.

"You see these fields? Luigi's axe cleared it all. Many trees I cut down and everybody have wood to make their homes and fields to raise their flocks. But do they call me 'Luigi the Wood Cutter'? No they do not..."

"...But you effa da one sheep..."

Moral of the story: when you're a stranger in a strange land, watch out for dirty sheep f'ers...

:D

However. I did get the grass mowed and the rose bushes trimmed. So there plan wasn't a total success! Damn the flies!

That turkey looks like it was a pretty big one! Looks like a pretty cool spot, and just so I can justify something being done today. Here's the proof of the rose bushes!
