been a significant issue for me for the past month, on both my phone and my laptop.
system lag, timeout errors, double posts, and coming back to find my previous post still in the reply box even though it posted.

I swear, I have the worst luck I've ever seen. Wife called me into the kitchen, and there's a leak in the ceiling. New roof less than 2 years ago. I think I know why. We have an old house, with a saltbox style roof, so there's not much pitch on the lower section of it, where there was an addition added eons ago. Anywhos, the ice has really built up on that lower section. The heat from inside the house is melting some of the snow and ice on parts of the roof, and the water has no place to go, as the ice is thick on the lower section. Therefore the water has nowhere to go, other than back under the shingle. Too dangerous to try to access the roof, so I did the only thing I could think of to do, and that was to throw melting salts on that lower section. Dripping off like crazy, and the leak has slowed down to a damn near stop, but damn, just my luck. I'm sure the neighbors think I'm crazy standing outside in the 12° weather with a flashlight, flinging salt on the roof, haha. Oh well, they probably think I'm nuts anywhos. :p

You're most likely right about the why. Hopefully between the salt and temps warming up it will clear the lower section.

Not supposed to be above freezing until Tuesday. I'm hoping I can knock part of that ice off after it melts enough.

Had a -41 last night and tonight its a heat wave at -7! The F-word temp not the evil C-Word Temp!
WUT?

Our snowstorm went to sun, then to 24hrs of rain. Standing water everywhere, and then it's going to hard freeze overnight. I'll just ice skate out of the house tomorrow.

Same here, CT weather is as weird as is gets.

Ordered a new saw today. Decided to go with the AGAWA Boreal 21. I also ordered a sheath/sling for it, that has a small pocket for a knife, sharpening stone, etc, and a place to carry an axe/hatchet..

daizee daizee Bladite Bladite You ready for this one? I’m gonna take a beating out on the east end of the island but y’all are in for it.

wait what? oh, the storm, checking date, yeah, we got 3-6 inches of fine fine powder, easily cleaned up...

we're supposedly in the middle of a another big one now... we'll see...

Yeah, I don't have a snowblower. No driveway, so it hardly seems worth it for the space and maintenance. But I'd sure like my neighbor to have one tomorrow!
space is one thing, not much maint on the newer models like Ariens, EFI these days, hydrostatic drive, one spark plug in 10 years, no oil changes as such. maybe a pocket of sheer pins, and a retainer clip.

EGO now makes an electric one. kinda amusing... plus the batteries can be used in other things.

"ice melt" (potassium chloride - white not blue / colored - don't want to stain the roof... in a sock/stocking, pack pack pack... easy to throw, use a string... one end or both, for positioning... throw high, and drag that long snake down to where you need it, the idea is to melt in vertical channels...

and if you don't get a lot of rain, rinse that stuff off later...
