Driving home from work and in my neighborhood and I see this kid out walking his dog and all of a sudden a spike buck goes running by and across the street in front of me. As it runs by I tell the kid to go the other way. I follow it down the street and see blood on its chest area, not sure if it got hit by a car or what. It runs down the street to a cul-de-sac and in between houses and is trying to jump a 6 foot privacy fence. I see a lady walking out her garage and I yell to her that there is a wounded deer trying to jump into her back yard. She heads inside her house and shuts her garage.. the deer run a couple houses over and into a bush and I see a guy walking towards it from his driveway. I drive over there to tell him and he only speaks Spanish and my Spanish sucks these days.. he finally gets his son from the house and I tell him. I told his son to call the animal control people... hopefully he didn't suffer too much.. glad no one got hurt either..

That makes me wonder how many beers are affected / dependent on the local water source for their particular taste.. I have heard about big breweries buying small local or european beers and moving production somewhere else and people stop drinking it because it doesn't taste right anymore.

case in point - I used to Like a lot of the stuff Sam Adams produced -- then they got big and moved most of their production to the Iron City Brewery.

The only reason I know about this is that I worked for the local water management district.

Uh-huh, exactly. You just talked yourself out of your own argument ;) There's a pretty good chance that the company I worked for sold your district the chemicals to *ahem* "purify" your water. You probably don't want to know the details.

I know what you mean. I stopped drinking Anheuser Busch because it started tasting like Belgian Waffles. ;)

Right on.

I thought twice before posting that silly toaster pic the other day, but I should have thought thrice. That was dumb of me, and I apologize for it. Not because I meant to be offensive or devisive, but because it could have taken an unpleasant turn. I'm not here for that.

I'm just here for the knives and the food and the booze, and making pals. :)

Um. Silly? I think not, I ran out and bought one immediately :)

Us Catholics love having Jesus on anything and everything, there is nothing offensive about it

Water Management Districts do not purify, sell, pump, or distribute water. They are a regulatory agency. Sorry, you are mistaken.

Doc

Its not offensive to a catholic. But there are many other beliefs than just yours.

I was not offended by the toaster. I do think its silly, but I feel people should be able to believe what ever they want how they want.... And if you think your "savior" would want "his image" burnt onto bread and shoved in peoples mouths go for it.

I dont mind reading about it, hell i dont mind discussing it, I was just wanting to know what NOT to do to avoid any issues later.

Now back to knives.... Im excited the BK17 sheath 710 made me will be here tomorrow!!! It looks SICK! I love the skull on the leather.

Hey WW:
You ever get a chance to try that Turk's head knot for your 'hawk? Ya know, if you are in Philly, the Northeast gathering is only about an 8-9 hour drive from there & then I could just show you how to do it....

Lmao I tried a BUNCH, but I failed. my hands start cramping up after a while. arthritis.

But a buddy is tying one for me on a cardboard tube, so maybe I can transfer it over and tighten it up.

Where is the NE gathering?

You should definitely be able to transfer that over and tighten it up, that's usually how it's done anyway.

NE gathering is in the stickies list, Hill, NH hosted by Trailbum.

Hope so, He did these and i think they look SWEET! I really like the look of this style knot.

The way it is now is cool too though... I didnt do this. I bought this one like this.
