Had one. Sold it. All I ever did with it was slice pumpkins in half.
Did it come sharpened or was the edge so thick that it could only be used for bring open door jams? I picked up a Scrap yard dagger, the point was super pointy but the rest of the edge was so thick it didn't even make a decent butter knife. I figured it must have been missed on the sharpening stage so I sent it back, they told me that it was properly sharpened.

I'd say you're more of busse fan than a Becker fan. ;)

The pink ones sure are cute!

Scrapyard will tell you the edges were not designed to be sharp and not made to cut from the side edges, The knife is Sandvik 12c27 instead of all the great steels they normally use, its more of a piece to add to a collection, round out a collection or what have you. It will stab, as daggers are designed to do, but it was never intended to have real sharp edges

Every Busse/ swamp rat sword I have had the pleasure to play with was very sharp. Some knives could use a thinner edge.. but they still shave straight from the company. I have never received any Busse/kin that would not shave from the factory, other than the HDD dagger, which really only cost 40 bucks, its more SWAG than knife. I have 1 still, i have had 6 or 7, I tried 1 out as a thrower, didnt work out so well with the heavy handle. I also tied it to the end of a stick as a spear. that worked OK.

I actually like working with pink. You'd be amazed how many I've made and sold. My wife and daughter both have about a half a dozen.

I was under the impression all those knives where yours?

That is really cool!! I bet a pink handled hornet would be a huge hit with the ladies!! My wife included LMAO

Oh god I wish, I only own 1 Busse knife. the AD in this pic... I had the large NMFSH, but i preferred my chopweiler due to weight and when the car broke down the other Busses had to go for sale.

That's a shame.........the bacon looks good.

LOL that bacon WAS DELICIOUS :)

Here is what i brought, these are the only ones that are mine in any of those pictures. I kept 4 or 5 home but this is really my main set of user knives right here.. Plus the BK14 which is boxed for zuluninja to etch the blade for me.... See not too fancy :D

Good lookin bunch of knives........who made the scales for the BECKER in the lower left corner? Looks like nice work.

Thank you, And I bought that from Jonny if i remember correctly, and i think he said they came from saints cutlery. They are great handles, a lot more palm swell.

Palm swell equals comfort in my book. From what I can tell in the pic it looks real nice. Is that a 710 sheath I see as well? JD does some nice work.

Yes its a 710, and yes he does do very nice work.

Kydex and leather mix is super tough to beat. Especially since i dont like tek-lok.

The Ka-bar Potbelly impressed the hell out of me this weekend, it too will need a nice sheath before long. Im thinking 710 for that as well..... if he is down for it!!

I'm sure JD could hook you up.....

Forgive my ignorence, but I have to ask. I'm not very familiar with swamp rat or busse knives, I don't frequent his forum much, I've talked to Jerry a few times, great guy, great knives, but I'm curious about the sheaths. Who provided the ones in your pic? I ask because I'm trying to improve on my sheaths and I am admiring some of them in your pic. But, I understand those knives usually don't come with one? Is this correct? I feel that is part of the package, it seems a shame to me for someone to make such a great knife only to leave such a important piece of the picture up to just anybody to complete.............fill me in.

The black one that your busse is in looks like a Becker?

They dont come with any sheath at all, Busse, swamp rat or scrapyard. It does suck, especially for the price of the knives you would figure that price should include a NICE A$$ sheath. It is what it is i guess.

I have sheaths from almost every major kydex player on BF. I LOVE sheaths, coming up with different types of setups are almost as fun as the knives for me. I have a few different sheaths just for my clip point RMD, a couple for my swamp rat hawk as well, i can choose which to use at which time. Like the RMD i have a camp survival setup made by godspeedtactical, but its heavy with the piggyback knife and survival kit it weights A LOT, so I also have an Azwelke drop loop kydex thats light if i dont want all the weight.

The hawk right now in the pic above is sitting in a Dave Brown, of Buy Brown sheaths. The RMD and scrapivore is sitting in the godspeedtactical sheath, The ontario SP8 under the hawk is sitting in a murphs paw kydex from gunfixrjoe, the BK17 sits in a 710, my BK14 sits in a perfectly made, NO JOKE, sheath from Cam. I have a azwelke hawk sheath and an azwelke RMD sheath as well.

And your are very correct, the Chopweiler and Busse active duty are riding in a becker BK7 sheath. I had to use an old wallet to piggyback the AD to the chopweiler, it doesnt fit in the neck knife spot so its actually just in an old wallet leather sleeve folded over and shoved into the pouch pocket. Azwelke is making the sheaths for it now though so it can ride in something that will retain it. right now it falls out with a little shaking upside down, worse thing really though is its a pain in the butt to put the busse back in that pouch pocket because i have to take the wallet piece out and re-fold it every time i remove the Busse

Ok i tried over 10 times to make the last 2 posts of mine as 1 post, but it would not work, i cut it in half and it posted fine
