Mi it with clear epoxy and make glow in the dark micarta scales.

But will it continue to glow? Or does it only glow once for a minute? You see i never ended up using it for the intended reason i got it for because im not sure if it can glow more than the 1 time, and it doesnt last too long that one time even. For the price of the stuff i thought it would last a while, but again I never tried it out. I got it with a "plan" but after i got it i was reading up on it and then i wasnt sure if it would even work for what i got it for.

Sounds like luminol is a one-time use thing, since it's a chemical reaction, and reaction time will be around 30 secs, maybe a bit longer. Probably the most useful thing for a non-criminal investigator would be the use to help discover game trails, which evidently is a thing, although I don't see why game would be bleeding all over the trail prior to having been shot. And if you couldn't drop it fast enough, so you have to follow a blood trail, you probably shouldn't be hunting anyways, because you seriously fubbed your shot.

That being said, I wonder if you could get some cool shots with it. For instance, glowing Becker blade--becker lightsaber, to be documented with pictures. If it reacts with iron, it might make the blade glow.

Thats a cool idea there!! You would need a good fast camera but i bet someone with some photography skills could make some nice pictures

I keep telling myself im going to fix my laptop but i seriously dont think that will ever happen. It needs a new CPU. It cost over 800 bucks though so i dont want to trash it. I still need to get all my old stuff off the hard drive too though. hmmm i need to find someone real good with computers and trade them the broken laptop for a knife LMAO

A while ago I filled out one of the things online where you send in your broken or old cell phones or computers and they give you cash "supposedly" and the screen said my laptop in its condition not booting up was still worth like 200, but i dont trust that, it sounds to good to be true because id send it in for 200 quick fast and in a hurry... but it also said in fine print after they inspect it the price could go up or down, yea I know it, they would send a check for 20 bucks and say hey we inspected it and now thats what we want to pay LMAO

Hey, I got a question: If a person gets all camo'd up/tact'd out to go out into the woods for a camping excursion, does that really mean he's being "bushcraftical?"

Don't think the stuff I have is luminol but I've got some glow in the dark powder that's still glowing properly after about 18 months. I dremeled out some designs (about 1/8" deep) into a micarta handle and poured the powder mixed with epoxy in.

That sounds pretty cool!! I dont think thats luminol at all LOL. 18 months is great time. I been looking at tritium a little, thats some cool stuff there. Just dont eat it.

I've been making some awesome burgers lately...

I suppose you could use the term "bushcraftical" to describe all these gung-ho types who like to attach the word "bushcraft" to everything.

Hey brother, the measuring is in the tasting! Looks yummy!
Thanks

The tasting is about 1/8th cup cayenne pepper and 2tbl spoons minced garlic in a "4.5x1" Burger (conservatively)

Its giant beefy "hot mess" lol.

I need to figure out to make em bigger/thicker..

That's what she said right?

Let me know if you're interested in it and I'll e-mail you where I bought it...Speaking of tritium, you seen those little firefly kit markers? I thought about getting one for my keys or something.

Yea they look cool! Someone is sending me something similar to those firefly kit markers now.

I also seen some super bada$$ beads with tritium but they were close to 50.

Its almost 4am...I been sitting here since 9pm working on my knife design. I want to give a huge thank you to mac_health who was kind enough to cut the design out of wood for me. It made it so much easier to see how it would feel in hand. This guy made several, a couple he even made the exact thickness i want the knife which really showed me some things that i needed to change for better comfort. then he also made 1 with scales glued on so i could shape them, and one set of scales on the side. I mean this right here helped SO SO much. If i would of just had the knife made from what I had on paper it would not have been ideal. Thanks again Tim.

After hours of carving with a knife and using a file, after messing one up ( so thankful you sent extras) I have got it where i think is just a perfect knife for me anyways. Now all i need to do is figure out how i want the holes in the handle for the screws/pins or whatever ends up being used and it will be ready to come to life :D
