I know for a fact that exact style rivet was in use in the 1920's I would guess that they were used much earlier than that as well.

I should mention that Psyop is the cat who turned me on to that type of rivets, and explained to me how to use and customize them, at the Beckerhead Gathering last spring.

Thanks, man! :)

Been getting a lot of good advice about my '84 Blazer from the guys over at chevyk5blazer.com. I think I just about have a plan formulated for my old K5. The only hang up is those guys are all of the mentality of "wheeling rig" and I keep trying to explain that the truck won't be taken out with the intention of using the 4wd for the sake of using 4wd and that's it's solely a means of conveyance to out-of-the-way places for my other hobbies and to and from work in the winter. I have a plan for a separate wheeling rig that can be done easily and for a fairly low cost to satisfy the urge to sling mud.

Love those custom Old Hickory knives BTW...

You guys need to start scouting for inanimate pigs. There's a contest coming soon.

There's a farmer near my parent's house with one in his yard. Right now we're still in good standing...... I have a feeling we won't be after said challenge.

anybody ever see this before? looks familiar!

This organizer insert to slide into a backpack is kinda cool. Velcro based, to organize the pouches as you wish:

Very cool. I'm afraid for me, it would be organized until the first time I used it, then....trashed. I can never keep myself organized, no matter the device. My tool bag for work gets cleaned out and organized coupleofthree times a year, never takes too long until everything's obeying the law of entropy. I keep trying, tho - maybe someday it'll stick.

I think this would be awesome for backpacks that basically have one large compartment. Mine have organizational pockets, so I wouldn't really need one per se.
