WW - they are called "C-brackets"
View attachment 429840

Try hardware supply stores.

Yea i found a bunch of different kinds like that one, but that only holds 1 2x4. It needs to hold 2 boards. It also needs to be secure and not bounce around as well that why the in the image i made it shows a box under the 2x4 in different locations where the cut area would be if i cant find a bracket that will hold 2 boards.

I have not caught up on snark but I just got back from a fun weekend of camping and wheeling. Didnt break anything and had a blast.

No the camera isnt crooked it was that off camber :) I had to get out the passenger side.

They did all think I was a bit weird for sleeping with no tent just a tarp and splitting wood with a BK9 or maybe they just thought I was weird.

Those are only designed to hold one. He wants brackets to hold two stacked.

 beat me to it :)

The vice idea may work. I will look for a couple suitable vices when i go pick up some more cutting supplies. If i used the vices i may be able to do a little light chopping inside too. Id still need to worry about the low ceiling and pipes and such above me but i have already done a little chopping down there... Just have to pay attention is all.

That was a picture to represent what they are. They come in all sizes (2x4, 2x6, etc). It might be more of a challenge to find one for 2x8s as they are specialty items. The other option would be to have a metal shop make some out of bar steel - 4 bends and some holes.

It does, but we try to stay open-minded around here... :D

My son, on the other hand, just may know what you're talking about. He's in his second semester of Audio Engineering at Austin Community College. They have a 2 year AAS program in Music Business, Performance and Technology, so they get a bit of everything regarding the music biz. He plans to do most of his electives in the technology track. He's 19, but favorite guitar player is Jimi Hendrix. He like a few current bands (Wolf Mother, GLO), but tends to favor older groups, particularly since he got to see Styx, Journey and Foreigner (I think it was those 3) together live up in Dallas-Ft. Worth a few years back.
Lou Gramm of Foreigner graduated from my high school in Rochester, NY. Whole band is from there.

Between Terrio's hard nipples and Biscuit drawing shave lines on WW's balls, this place has gone down a strange trail. I don't blame you for running Gus.
I have to stop reading your posts if I'm gonna stop blowing liquids through my nose
Gotta stay fit enough to get away from this madness.
Rule no. 1: CARDIO!! (see: Zombieland)
Ok so i have been looking for brackets for chopping 2x4s. Like the ones in bladesports. Bottom right corner of picture. But i cant find any brackets that hold two 2x4s. And i cant seem to find contact information for the guy who makes the ones for bladesports. I know his name but thats it. So im trying to figure up another way to do the 2x4 chopping.

I found a bunch of different brackets that hold a single 2x4 so maybe i can rig it up with some type of wooden support under the cut area. But maybe someone with more wood working and construction experience has some better suggestions or know of brackets that will indeed hold two 2x4s?
Home Depot. I think Simpson Strong-Tie makes them.
Edit: I looked again and maybe you could make something with a couple of joist hangers...just alternat them rightside up, upside down, rightside up...I'm sure you'll figure it out. Drunk Guy with knives always figures it out!

Got my skull dagger that I've been piddling for about 2 years done today. Eh, it wasn't as climatic as I thought it would be, I will be putting a complete thead on my subforum soon if anybody is interested in checking it out.
