Personally, I wouldn't season it. I'd just eat it "as is" but I like the taste of cast iron.

You should steer clear of construction grade adobe. Food grade is where it's at. Although I can understand wanting to earn "man points" by using construction grade.while i can see how you might want to try adobe for the fiber and mineral content, be very careful of how it was made -- some folks add manure to it and that will throw the delicate flavor of the fresh cast iron off.
So, I got a new cast iron pan. I don't remember how to season it though...
