That was my fear as well. That, and there is a certain firearm that may be on the way and I couldn't justify both.

Not my normal post, but I've gotta ask a favor from everyone. This past Thursday my boss' wife went in for another round of chemo and ended up being admitted before they even gave it to her. She's not doing very good at all and from the sounds of it she probably won't be coming home from the hospital. I'm hoping that some of you will say a prayer for her in hopes that it might help her be more comfortable as she approaches the end and to comfort my boss and their children, family and friends.

Question for you guys. I can get a Terra Nova Adventure 2 tarp (just under 10x10) for $30 brand new directly from the manufacturer (its the exact same one dave canterbury use to sell on his site for arnd 60---or i can get a 10x10 bcusa for about 70 shipped-- do you think that the bcusa tarp is worth paying double for it?

Love my XDs. :) I am talking with a local shop about getting either a Savage Trophy Hunter or CZ 527 in .223. Basically waiting to see what they can get in, but really hoping the CZ can be found.

I have no experience with the TerraNova, but my first gen BCUSA 10x10 tarp has done good service in 60 MPH driving rain.
For a late Christmas gift to myself, I picked up an Etowah Outfitters 12x10 for $65 with free shipping. They're the folks that made the first gen BCUSA tarp. This lets me close the ends to keep wind and rain out or hold heat in. (that's the theory, anyway)

you might also take a look at the Howa 1500 -- a Weatherby Vanguard by any other name... Nice shooting bolt .223 as well, and frequently less than the Savage.

Yea I don't know either, I use Grand Trunk
 
i modded my bk 2 sheath with the tek lok and i'm loving it thx becker fans i've learned alot here!
 
i'm surprised guyon didn't grab that to strip the rare micarta off it, and then just turn around and flip it again :)
 
Man, so hard to unload airsoft stuff. I've been trying to get rid of stuff for literally 33% of cost, and it's just not moving :( I'm hoping to save up for a bolt action now. Leaning towards Rem 700, and hoping for either the XCR LRT, or the milspec 5r, chambered for .308, since eventually I want to get an LMT MWS, and want to be able to share ammo. Plus, .308's fairly cheap, but a reasonably good cartridge for mid to long range.
 
Thanks everyone for sending out some smoke and prayers out for my boss' wife. She's definitely going to need them.......they did a scan yesterday afternoon and found cancer in her brain too.
