So, I'm planning on making a firepit in the spring. I'm putting together the "proposal" for the parent's since it's their house and yada yada yada. Right now I'm trying to decide, square or circle pit. $58 for the round being 18" (17.5") tall and 4' around, versus the $122.xx being 24" tall with a 2" lip at 16" to hold a grill and being 4'x4' square.
 
I love how these type pits look. When i was younger i tried to make my own pit out of huge rocks. It looked and worked great for a couple months. But then the heat started cracking the rocks up and the rocks would explode in the fire shooting hot little pieces out. I didnt know they put metal rings inside a lot of the rock fire pits. And the rocks i used were not very good HAHA, well they were good as explosive devices but thats it.

1:30am, its as good a time as any to grill up some new york strip steaks....

Also i need me a bite valve. like on a camelbak. I havent looked yet but hopefully they sell just the bite valve or even just the hose/tubing with the bite valve. I know they sell whole bladders but i dont need the bladder. Actually it might be better if i get it with a little of the hosing actually.... Hmmmm i smell a project coming on......

I like the one I got, but that's the 12Cr13 FPR, and wasn't nearly so expensive. I'm making my own in 3V. I'll probably keep one of those little EDC blades that I've got in my current batch. I can definitely say they won't be anywhere near 200.

I missed this, i really like the first 2, im not big on tanto blades but those other 2 look like great little EDC blades!!
 
Is that what he did? I'll admit I don't have an account at BCUSA so I don't pay much attention to the threads there. The good ones get linked to here anyway.

Work sucked today. Everybody out buying crap for the Super Bowl. Is anybody here NOT watching the game tomorrow?
 
Oh i dunno cbear im just teasin.

All this talk about neckers, i have to say i really like how the Bravo Necker 2 looks especially with some of the scale options. And as long as its at ~100 bucks in 3V steel i dont think its a bad deal either. But I seriously doubt it would take the spot of my BK24/14 or Fall Creek Necker in S35VN. Love the fall creek knife. it was 99 bucks and worth every penny i think.





And here i am using it right now eating my new york strip steak. Its an excellent steak knife. Steak came out perfect for me. I was shooting for medium rare......Dont know how long i cooked it, and i just seasoned with random stuff in the wife's cabinet but its delicious. makes a great 3am snack HAHA

 
I'm not. Well, I might, but it isn't in the books. I have no vested interest in either of the teams, I have no interest in the half time abomination, and the last few years the commercials have been disappointing to say the least. SO, not going to be watching.

Im not watching it. Barely ever do unless im at a super bowl party and i have not went to a super bowl party in YEARS. Never been much into WATCHING sports. When i was younger I played some football in high school as a wide receiver, and i played basketball with friends most every weekend.... but sitting and watching others play was never much fun or very interesting to me.

I don't have any plans to watch it. I'm going fishing mid-afternoon until sometime after dark. After that I might catch part of the game if nothing else is on.
