Waaaaay off topic here, but has anybody put a set of Skinner peep sights on their rifle? Been thinking about a set for a BL 22.
Nope, I'll be honest I don't even know what those words in that order would be, except for "sights on their rifle". Ok, actually peep sights I do know what they are, but not skinner sights.

Waaaaaaay off topic to your waaaaaay off topic, if you happen to spot a decent size/quality cast iron dutch oven in your adventures can you let me know? I been looking for one and can't find any decent ones around here.

Waaaaaay more off topic here. Can you recommned a good one-person kayak? My wife has always wanted one, having been kayaking a few times. Its a hobby she wants to explore. Kayaking kills my lower back, but I suppose I'd have no issue with her going with the kids or another group.

Never done it myself but I've only heard good. Though about putting a peep sight on my .45-70 H&R handi rifle.

I haven't Trade, but I do love the BL 22. My Dad bought one when I was 10 or 11, so it was the first gun I ever fired. I snagged it a couple years ago when I visited home. My youngest brother had managed to spill naval jelly on the receiver, so I refinished it with Brownell's 44/40 cold blue. I've kept it to make sure no further accidents happen. Not to mention my son loves shooting it.

Yep, on my Marlin 39M.
They're not bad. I might prefer A bit more protection for the rear. Make sure you get the right height front.

Sure will. We run across them from time to time.

Personally I like Wilderness Systems boats (we own eight of them) but other folks have differing ideas like everything else. Excellent seats, construction and the warranty is lifetime. They replaced two boats that were over a year old because of minor hatch leaks no questions and no cost at all to us. Good designs and thoughtful layout. Perception, Liquid Logic and Dagger are quality boats that I've paddled. We rented a couple of Old Town models from an outfitter on the upper Missouri and were impressed with how tough they were. A great place to start is the Widerness Systems Aspire. It will handle rivers, some small white water and lakes. It has a drop down skeg to aid in tracking and is stable as hell. Just my experience.

6 peppers, sliced about 1/4" thick, with 2 cloves of garlic smashed and minced, and then a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon and a half of salt, then filled with white wine vinegar.

We'll see how they turn out.

Sounds like a plan to me. Let 'em fester for a week or two.

Since we're all being way off topic, anyone know of a good video on how to do compound dovetail joints?

Yeah but your talking about the brand of beer, not anything fun...lol
No? I didn't say "I like Busch".....

Current Designs, Necky and Prijon make some nice boats as well. IIRC, Prijon uses a plastic that's sturdier than the standard roto-molded polyethylene. I've got a 'glass Current Designs, but I paddled quite a few plastic ones (including a WS and Perception) before buying it. A lot depends on where you're wife is going to paddle it....
so...this kayak....will it make up for the buying of the BRKT necker?

In wood? Ambitious. I'm still working on getting the regular ones to fit properly. I'd check the Fine Woodworking site. Are you talking about two boards at an angle other than 90°? Or skewed? Or coopered? You could get into a lot of trouble with some of those...

Thank you Sir!!

Aye, in wood. Aye to angles other than 90°, why not to skewed, definitely nay to coopered. I haven't the stones for that, nor the headache that would entail.

Listening to a Canadian and a kid from Queens talk about Chicago style pizza... It's like listening to two twelve year old boys talking about giving birth.
