Dang, that's a waste of a perfectly good bronco :(

Other than that, pretty entertaining (that is if you're like me and don't give a rip about either team)

You collect Westerns? I've got one of the W49 Bowies that I've thought about modding a dozen times. But I haven't done anything with it.

Uh, yeah, I collect them....:D I have 273 Western related knives and several hatchets- C. Platt & Sons, Western, Western States, Coleman-Westerns, Camillus Westerns, Western contract versions (Western Auto, Sears, etc). The earliest is a C. Platt & Sons folding knife from 1897 - 1902.

Included in that is 42 W49s variations - the oldest is a 1930ish Western bowie. The newest is a 2000ish Camillus-made Remington bowie that IS a W49 except for the special engraving.

My favorite W49 looker is a 1986 Texas Sesquicentennial model, #1 of 15000 in a walnut box on red velvet. My favorite user is a late 1950s-early 1960s Western Bowie (Gen 1) (Western on the mark side, Bowie inverted on the pile side). Those have slightly different shaped handles that make them "feel" slightly smaller.

Rough day here today, been working out at my Buddies shop 2 to 3 nights a week helping him out. Didnt get in in last night till a little after midnight. Sore as hell, I guess climbing under a Peterbilt semi about 2 dozen times lastnight is quite a workout. Get to the crappy day job only to be bombarded with there usual moronic logic. Get this, they hired a guy from Michigan to come in today to run a repeatability test on my CMM machine that I run. His fee was just over $3500. for 6 hrs. of work, heres the clincher, when he got here he told my boss (the same one that I went to war with over my re embirsment for my Metrology class a couple of months ago) that he couldnt do it because he wasnt told what the software was and he knew nothing of this equipment. So, they sent him on his way and still had to pay him his $3500. fee because of a contract that my company has with his. Lol, So, my genious boss looks at me and says "well, you think you can figure it out?"
I told him as polietly as possible that he was freekin crazy if he thought I was going to touch for the peanuts he pays me compared to the wage the other guy just ripped him off for considering this was HIS job to be doing in the first place but just wasnt smart enough to do it. Well, immediately this provoked a strongly worded exchange to which I finally responded again, " Yeah Yeah Blah Blah, just be sure to write this down for my next employee evaluation............Man i hate this place with a passion.

It gets better, the guy that was suppossed to do the work brought with him a master trihedronal gauge that cost 10's of thousands of $$$$$$. Needless to say, he took it with him when he left. Bossman, who is the engineer over me as well mind you, wanted to know if that was necessary and if I couldnt figure out how to do it myself without one. "you gotta be kidding me.... a quality engineer!"

I admit Im not the smartest guy in the world, but these fresh out of college engineers (at least here) couldn't even spell gong show Gus. I cant imagine these guys getting anything better than drool on there S.A.T.

Mr. Hunt - Don't know what it is that you do for these SEOANBMs, or how many other companies in your area have jobs for people who do what you can do, but for my 2 cents worth, I'd be polishing up the old resume and looking for a new home. Leave'm in a lurch and let'm cry a river. Says the guy who was asked to leave w/o letting the door hit his posterior because his job was being sent to China 13 years ago and hasn't worked FOR any one since.

Anybody heard from Woody today? Normally by now he is in here and rabblerousing. It isn't like him to miss unless he is getting laid or something...

Last I saw was this morning he was not looking forward to having to walk in the snow. Hope he didn't slip and break something.

Wow. You should write a book. Start a blog. Something. That's cool.

Painting it orange and blue was a waste of a good bronco. That's just...I don't even know what that is but he should be flogged.

Smoke and Prayers T.

Stay strong.
