Looks like I finally netted a Daizee Biradashi. I'm pretty excited, been after one for awhile, but for various reasons never got one.

DAMN YOU! I been trying to get one of those for a while. :( It's been a while since I got a new blade from Daizee.

Pretty sure it's Psy. I've got an 85% and a 100%. Need to get a 115% and a Biru, and maybe if I get REAL lucky, I'll get a custom from him... :D :D :D Maybe.

Just picked up a Lifestraw for my outdoor adventures:

Anyone use one? I think it's a handy addition to my pack.

Welcome to the club!! You're going yo love it. Don't forget to post a picture of its first brew!!!!

I may have to copy and adapt that for striper fishing this summer....I've got a similar setup (Okuma 65 Baitfeeder/Ugly Stik) only with braided line for salt water....although usually I'm more of a cast and retrieve guy...especially with the way the tides run in and out here; this was the incoming tide into our pond yesterday, before we got pounded with snow:

Usually I fish on the other side of the culvert on the outgoing tide; stripers like to hang out there and wait for dinner to come pouring out. Not that I have ever caught one, but I've seen others do it. Maybe this'll be my year.

Around here, people fish for stripers (in reservoirs mind you) with live bait. You ever try free spooling a bait fish or maybe flinging one out there on a Santee rig?

workin' my way through the biru list!
It's possible the next batch will even have my mark on 'em... which will drive up the value of all the others. ;)

No, because I usually walk to that spot from home (up at the top right of that pic ;)) and/or go last minute out to the beach. Most of the stripers I've seen caught though have been with live or cut bait, but not all. I'm going to try that when the season starts up again....of course, here they have to be at least 28" to keep. Many of the ones I've seen caught went back in because they were too small - a 24", 8 pounder too small! Still, I'll be trying some different stuff this summer; last summer was the first summer I've fished in maybe 15 years. Even had to buy a saltwater license - at $11 pretty cheap, but it used to be they didn't even have saltwater licenses.
