Snark till the cows come home

So until our new pup Sophie is totally 100% potty trained and over her chewin stage, she has been sleeping in me and my wifes bedroom of the nights, she's real good about waking us up if she needs to go out. Well, last Saturday night one of us (the wife ) forgot to close the bedroom door and Sophie had free reign of the house. When I woke up and realized this I got up hoping to not see our leather couch or antique furniture chewed up not to mention dog mines through the house. Where did I find her. Check it out.

Not only had she not bothered a thing, but she was cuddled up with my 9 yr. old son AND my wifes cat Leo. This was huge, the cat doesn't seem to care much for Sophie, and to see them co-existing is just as amazing to me that she didn't trash or sh!t all over the house. I sure was proud of her.

That's great, very good puppy behavior, pups love to cuddle up with someone. Mine still stealth crawls onto the bed in the middle of the night, cheeky bugger. :) Sophie is really getting big too! So fast!

I know you will pull through my contiguous brother!.... wait.... hold on...

WTF is that.... ENHANCE!!!

ENHANCE!

?????

hahaha! 14 years ago when my wife and I were just "living together", I got a job that was supposed to be 40% travel and ended up being like 85% travel.. One day as I was flying out AGAIN.. I found that little wrestling guy on the ground in the parking lot and told her "keep this close, he will keep you safe." or something to that effect.. It has been wedged there in between the dash and windshield ever since then..

and yes, WorldWood is right, that is called graupel.. learn something new everyday..

Hey Granite, do you happen to have plans/blueprints for that firewood storage hut thingy? I've been wanting to make something like that for a couple months now.
Not really. I can tell you the floor is about 30"x48" - I was constrained by the deck and the hose bib behind the shed. It's about 5 ½' tall; I laid out and built the two "gable ends" in the driveway with three uprights (all 2x3 construction) tacked together and then just laid out the roof angle right on them. Mostly it's like a built-in - I really only had one place to put it and had to make it fit while still maximizing the wood storage. I figured out it's about half a cord - 52 cubic feet. Needless to say, it'll take me a couple years to get through what I've got there, we don't have fires regularly enough. BTW that's all sugar maple from a tree that came down this past June. We had a micro burst that knocked out power for a day, and that tree dropped onto it's owners' cars. I moved it across the street in chunks (some had to be trimmed to make normal size firewood) and split all of it myself. Perhaps that's how I messed up my back....

I was able to get 3 550 packs today. I got 3 333 packs last week. Is the supply coming back? Man, I hope so!

I doubt it. I might have to start making rounds of all the stores and hoarding ammo like all the jerks causing the shortage in the first place. I have been buying up .45acp. It's usually in the case but not always and the last couple times I looked they were out of 9mm. I wish I had a place to put a reloading setup, .45acp has gone up about $10 a box over the last two years.

Yeah, that's for sure. I bought a TON of 45acp supplies when W was in office and I'm still loading them. It was a big expense then, but would be 3-4x more today.

That looks wicked  I still want to try that waterproofing recipe you posted a while back on my favorite jacket, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thanks guys. I will pass along the kind words. We are kicking around going orange and offering some gear items and outdoor clothes.

If you have the time to deal with it, go for it. If nothing else, it will help you pay for materials for your own stuff... not to mention the smug satisfaction that comes from having everyone hang on your every word because you am a pro-feshunal.

I'm not supposed to say this in public, but you will also get personalized keys to the executive liquor cabinet and crapper... no more drinking rotgut booze and using the drafty ol' two-holer out back.

I tried to order a turret press and everything to get set up during the last ammo shortage when I had my own place, but everything related to ammo was back ordered. They wouldn't bill me until the ordered shipped and I didn't like the idea of not knowing when my debit card was going to get charged $300 so after three or four weeks I canceled the order.
