I have beat on the handle before but only to get it out. Thats why I dont like the 2 for batoning its to short for anything other than kindling. Now the BK9 I have split lots and lots of wood.
 
^^It's early enough that I think that post is ripe for a "that's what she said" joke. To which, unfortunately, I am terribly prone.

About to make the snowy drive to the post office and bank. Wish me luck...

The snow, being mostly air, evaporates instead of melting. If they would hold the lighter their long enough, it'd disappear. The soot is from the lighter itself along with the smell. If you put it in a pan on the stove or something like that it's melt just fine.

Looks more like in on "six" to me, but what do I know?

Actually, I do know that Al and DeAnn do some awesome work. I finally got my stuff together and got the sheath (with $15 discount thanks to their Thanksgiving contest) and couldn't be happier. Now I think I need to add a piggyback with a BK14/24 or perhaps BK16...

You can set the site to have more posts per page. So 3 is different depending on how many posts per page your set to. Im at max.

Well that's confusing.... My 6 is your 3... How do we really know who's in on 1, then? Or any other page, for that matter? I guess I need to become a cool kid to find out.

But I do love my 5!
And azwelke made an awesome sheath. I feel like a kitchen samurai...
 
I never realized that Al uses that many damn rivets! Good lord! Although it looks nice! I only have one Al sheath. I get most of my kydex from Eli. I need to get a Julio sheath here soon.
 
If you are in on three and it's really six your cheating. That is a long standing snark rule.

Kinda bummed. Wife and I made the call to have one of our cats put down on Monday. He's diabetic, and his insulin just isn't working for him any more. Also, over the past 3 years, it's increased from $70 to $225 (although costs to manufacture the stuff have gone down). It's up $45 just from 3 months ago. Not really worth paying as much as a car payment for something that's barely working, when he's already in pain, has neurological damage, and a multitude of other problems too.
 
:( Sorry to hear that CF. Normally I'm not a cat purrson, and am the first to crack jokes. However this isn't really any joking matter. So I'm gonna hold off on it.

Sorry to hear that CF. Been a long time since I've been able to have cats (or dogs), but I still remember that feeling when I had to do the same thing. Sad, but at least humane. More so than with people; seems we end up spending tens of thousands just to let them suffer a little longer....
