I just got Fallout 4 today. It takes a little getting used to but I'm not disappointed. Metal Gear Solid 5 was great and so is GTA V.

Congrats on the truck WW! I'm assuming you found a 6cyl? Can't wait to see it! That link asked for sign in to yahoo and I aint got none...

That was the first thing that came to my mind when I read the comment. It's a classic!

Probably gonna be upgrading to a PS4 soon. I plan on getting Star Wars Battlefront, Destiny, and maybe Just Cause 3 and/or Fallout 4 if I enough moneys. What other games do y'all suggest?

My son just bought a PS4 and Fallout 4 bundle. I'm going to pay for it as his Christmas present to save myself having to shop. Win-Win!
I have no suggestions other than that.

Gah, I want a PS4 just for that! Thinking of getting 2 ps3's so me and my daughter can play stuff together.
We're particularly interested in Final Fantsy XIV. I played FFXI for about 5 years before prying myself from it...
MMORPGs are hard to keep up with when ppl play it constantly, then they get so far ahead you're kinda left behind. At least with 2 of us we wouldn't have to worry about that. 99% of the game is team up missions etc and solo is just grinding exp or farming items or money.

Never played an Final Fantasy stuff, and I realize this is different than an RPG, but if you like grinding for stuff in games, you should try Destiny. It's an MMO FPS and once you finish the storyline it's pretty much just grinding stuff for gear like Strikes (a 5-20 minute 3 player fight through an area ending with a semi difficult boss), Raids (can take anywhere from 1 to 6 hours depending on the team you've got, six people fight through several difficult bosses to a very hard boss in the end), and certain PVP stuff (mostly Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner, Trials is every Friday-Sunday, but it's really hard. Iron Banner is once a month and easier, and IMO it's far more fun and rewarding than Trials).

Does FO4 let you just walk around and do side missions and stuff if you want or do you have to mainly keep going with the main story?

Would've asked for one for Christmas but I figured mom wouldn't appreciate the idea of bringing 'another one of those brain rotters' into the house and me not paying for it. :D

Also, despite the fact that about halfway through I felt like I was sitting in a freezer and ended up getting very sick that night, I got to watch Serenity at my cousins' house last week and really liked it. As soon as I finish watching Psych I'm probably gonna go through Firefly again as well. :D

It starts pretty structured but after the backstory is setup you can do whatever. Just like all the other Fallout games.

Alright, cool. I watched a video of the intro up until you get out of the bunker and talk to the robot servant but past that I wasn't sure.

What do we think about Sightmark SM26020 Wolverine FSR Red Dot Sight? It looks to be somewhat decent.

What's a good scope? I'm wanting to get another/different one for my .223. Looking at bushnell, and leupold.

vortex HD

or if that's too spendy... the vortex strike eagle

i esp like the reticle on the strike eagle

Redfield Revenge, Vortex, Bushnell Banner -- all 3 are good lower end scopes.

the vortex HD is actually better by far, than even scopes twice or three times its price

almost bought one... next rifle :D

never heard of it

if you got $300 to spend, get a used EOTech... or an aimpoint...

there's a few other guys out there two, olegvolk like a couple companies, who's name escapes me at this moment.

at 25 yds with the vortex strike eagle off hand, no strap, , i was mostly grouping 1-2 inches. good reticle. almost instinctive both eyes open.

Just checked out some vortex.. They look pretty sweet and the reviews are average 4.5+ out of 5. Look pretty solid. Hmm.

Eotech just settled a lawsuit for their sights not working when they get 120 degrees or so. Aimpoint is good to go.

Vortex is pretty good for having fun. The Aimpoint PRO is under $400 and can handle anything.

I think I'm gonna go with the vortex sparc 2. They have a warranty like esee. No questions replacement, and the reviews I've found on it say it's actually pretty good for the price point.

In a local outdoorsy fashion brand kind of store they have the occasional opinel, victorinox and the like. Some crkt too. But WAY too expensive on those imports like crkt. Today I noticed they started selling Morakniv too, they've got some companions in different colours : all black, black and green as well as black and orange. For only 12 euro I had to pick one up. I wonder how they will compare to the Mora made but Bahco branded clipper I've bought some time ago. Already noticed that the companion is quite a bit thicker, and the sheath seems to be more sturdy. Still have to get it out of the packaging though. Curious!

My son's been playing it for several hours on and off. I was watching him for a bit yesterday and he commented "I don't know what to do with my life...." Since he's 20 years old (and is still in college), I asked if he was talking about real life or Fallout. He was talking about the game.... So it does seem pretty wide open in terms of game play.

So far I think the Blackwash Cryo is $30 well spent. Solid little thing indeed.

I kind of want a Spyderco Roadie for some reason. I think I'm getting Wharncliffe Sheepsfoot Disease.

Fun times shooting in the woods - didn't want to make a whole new thread for it. Small amount of becker content :)
