I guess ill do something TOTALLY unusual here......

Post knife related stuff :p

This blade right here has served me very well for quite a while now and has been abused like you couldnt believe. The 3V steel is a beast, and while not indestructible, holds up better than most of the steels i have tested and played with.

But... Alas.... You beat on anything long enough and there will be some issues.... Although small.... I think this one will be getting some professional love before long....

OFF TOPIC- The little wood slab is fat lighter. We cut up a bunch of it one day and made some thinner slabs for the hell of it and i liked how they looked so i kept them.... I kept a few small ones to use as coasters also.... But ended up burning them last winter HAHA

So it looks like i found a nail, a few times, in some wood somewhere at one point..... And i cant even remember how i chipped the handle.... Alcohol was likely involved.

This is one of the most used blades i have. For good reason. Its a great performer, but needs some TLC now.

And he paid got twice the work done for half of what he was willing to pay.
You both won, though he won't be sore tomorrow. Never anything wrong with actually Earning a paycheck.

Good on ya'!

BUT.... BUT..... werk is harrd!!

:D

Why was I not snarking much today? It has been one of those days where if I didn't have bad luck, I'd have none at all.

When I went out this morning, I saw that the right front headlight is busted out. Looks like someone must have backed a jacked-up pickup bumper into it.

I was ALMOST finished with the new blind this morning when the seals blew on my 1 remaining nail gun - air constantly blows through the exhaust port just sitting there. I had taken the other 2 to the shop just this past Monday for other reasons - trigger assembly fell apart on one of them and the hammer cracked on the other one. Took an hour to finish a 10 minute job using a manual hammer and nails. Damn we get spoiled with good tools.

Got the new rifle blind finished and hauled into place down in the pasture near the creek - blew out and shredded a trailer tire just 40 yards from the blind's resting place = so the blind is still on the trailer, with the trailer blocked up to near level. I think it's gonna stay like that until January. Then I'll replace the tire.

Then, while putting up my bow stand this afternoon, one of the leg welds broke. Now I gotta drag the stand to the shop and reweld the leg.

And when I started for home, the automatic gate opener motor for the back gate refused to work. Had to walk 3 miles back to the house, get the key to remove the security lock and walk back so I could get the truck through and rig up a manual locking chain to keep the gate shut until I get the opener working. My mother had a doctor's appointment this afternoon, so there was none to call to bring me the key.

Tomorrow has got to be better. Right?? :D

Oh, yeah, and the high pressure hose on the air compressor decided to start leaking as well. So I guess it was a good thing my nail gun blew a seal.

If you can make it rhyme, there's a whole country song's worth of lemonade in those lemons.

It was raining so hard this evening that I drove below the speed limit going home.

WELL below.......

How's it going guys? Been busy with other stuff and haven't had much time to post. I have been keeping up with the snark for the most Pat(not hard nowadays). Not much new with me. We did get add a lab puppy to our household last week. He sure has been challenging and has been keeping us on our toes. Lucky, our 10 year old lab mostly likes him, except for the biting. The cats pretty much all dislike him so far, but I think that will change when he chills out a bit. We are his 2nd home. The first ended up having kids with allergies and couldn't keep him. I don't think they had done much with him, so we are working on potty training, which is actually going quite well. Just an accident every few days.

Aww fur baby for AC!

Our bitch is settled. She is/was in heat the past few weeks. Check out the stylish panties.

We go out running every morning and most evenings. She love chasing rabbits and coyotes. [emoji2]

Good morning pistoleros. HK VP9 or Glock 19? Both feel pretty nice in my hand.

Good morning pistoleros. HK VP9 or Glock 19? Both feel pretty nice in my hand.

Both are well-respected among professionals in the industry. Only real advantages of the Glock 19 that comes to my mind is that all Glocks are pretty similar so you can buy several in all different flavors and you know how to work them. And more aftermarket support for the Glock but I think there's enough behind the VP9 that you should be able to find holsters and sights and whatever. Glock mags are also going to be cheaper.

In the end it probably won't matter much. You buy a Glock because you want a Glock, you buy a VP9 because you don't want a Glock.

...and when you get to the range everyone else will have Glocks... And when the apocalypse or zombie outbreak happens you will be able to take other's mags because everyone knows zombies only carry Glocks...

Man i wouldn't give a damn. HK > Glocks.

:D Glocks vs everything else... Never ending debate. But always ends up pissing off someone so let's do this. :D

92A1 - Cabelalalalalalas has a sale on them up here and I still don't have enough pennies :( trying to convince the wife to let me order one for my birthday.

I'm wanting either the M9a3 or the Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier Tactical. But I'm trying really really hard to get all my other guns squared away first with mags and sights and whatnot.

I was looking at the 92g BT but up here the price difference is insane. I could buy the base model and get an armourer to do the upgrades for cheaper.
