I did! Shoot, that was hardly the most exciting part of my day... We went in for my wife's second ultrasound and got to see a glimpse of our little person. :D

Same. I think fall has arrived here in Southern Illinois. Now we can have bonfires and booze without sweating our asses off:D

Congratulations on both counts.

I've been considering selling a knife or two and investing in a trail/bedside/glovebox gun, but have not entirely talked myself into it.

I hear that. We're heading to the cabin this weekend. Weather is supposed to be good. Gonna be a working weekend. Taking the chainsaw with me, to cut down a few dead trees on the property. Buck 'em up, and split 'em. Get ready for the colder weather.

Nice. Sounds like a good time.

I am hoping to get out for a hike or two in Giant City this weekend.
 
It was 5pm here, and I had half an hour to go at work. It was dry, 95 degrees, then the hot, tin roof started to sound off, like popcorn.

I dropped everything to pack it in 5 or 10 minutes early, because the 20% chance of rain, became 100% chance of flash flooding.

Wind was from the north, (very strange), I had to slow down through intersections on the dash home so as not to drown my distributor/engine. Rivers in the streets in ten minutes, fastest I've ever seen in these parts.

By 6:15, it was sunny again until dusk.

Now it feels like the inside of a steamer full of broccoli.

Not all of us are as wealthy as The Mighty Tradewater. Although I'm sure he just said I'll take these, they said ok, and happily handed them over.
 
I believe it. He just needs to walk into the store and the clerks just hand over whatever Tradewater is thinking about. Then smile and wave while rolling out the red carpet on his exiting of the establishment.

Thanks, Coop! I've been slowly saving up in hopes to purchase a 1911, but that wasn't going to happen any time soon. This fit the bill and fit the budget.

I am so glad that Fall is finally here. I'm suspicious that Summer is going to rear its head again since they are calling for the high 80's next week sometime.

.... With that in mind I tried this. They still expected me to pay for everything.
