So your imaginary friend is a testicle?

<shakes head>
Kids these days...

No. My imaginary friend is a uvula. Rigby is just a testicle that I feel but doesn't really exist.

Central AC fan blew up on Sat. Been tough dealing with this heat and humidity. We've been sleeping in the climbing gym as it's insulated and has AC.

A young kid (I guess 25 seems young when you're one year away from 50) who has been coming over to climb also happens to work for an AC company. We asked him about our AC issue and if we could hire him to do the work. Next thing I know I get a call from his brother-in-law (and boss) offering to do the work for just his cost of the parts. I thanked him and mentioned that the generous discount was not necessary, but he insisted. Seems like he was impressed that we would let Alex (the young kid) climb here for free.

I mentioned this to Triggs and we were both surprised that having someone over to climb was such a big deal. We started climbing in the mid-80s when the community was smaller and everyone seemed more welcoming of other climbers. We've always tried to pass along the generosity that we experienced. In many ways, the folks that we've met from this forum seem to embody these same ideals.

Here's hoping that the AC is working tonight!

That's awesome G$! Karma!

Though I'm not crying any rivers for the guy complaining it's hot and humid in Canada. :D

I mowed my 2 acres today... Excuse me. 2.05 acres.....That .05 is only significant when you're mowing in 90+ degrees in between raining spells causing it to be so humid you could drink the boiling air.

Took 7hours. Lawnmower needs New blades bad. One pass wasn't cutting shit. I got a tan. Drank a few cold beers to stay alive and for the first time i missed renting LMAO. :D

Yeah, it's nice when karma works your way!

And mowing the lawn in those conditions sounds brutal!

Ah, back on the air.

Where were you?

That was really cool of them, Gus.

I do find it ironic that the fact that he can come over to climb is such a big deal to them; however, you made the gym so it would be no big deal to train, do some climbing, and hand out in the rafters with like minded friends. Shoot, isn't the last part more than half the fun anyways? Oh, and kudos for you two as well though. You folks put a lot of work into the gym and I saw how excited you were about it. I'm really glad to hear how much people appreciate your space.

The Get Strong may yet become the most famous climbing gym/pipe tobacco salon/craft beer club north of the Red.
Next time I go back to Cloudland Canyon State Park, I want to stay in the yurt village. http://gastateparks.org/Yurts

Hmm.... I just had to. As a Pepsi aficionado i figured it wasnt an option. Wish they were in glass bottles but... meh.... Waiting for 1 to get cold so i can give it a try. Been so long i really dont remember what they tasted like in the past. Doubt ill love them, but like i said it wasnt an option to buy or not to buy, it was a requirement.
