Not sure how deep. Can't tell if it's an entrance and exit or if the spinning hit 2 times. Boy, its swelling up and getting tight. Soaking in alcohol now, next up is a colloidal silver soak.

Go to a doctor if you can. If that's not an option just wash it, apply some antibacterial ointment, and cover it with a clean bandage/dressing. Apply an ice pack or something to reduce the swelling. Avoid using it if at all possible. When you're at home if front of the TV or whatever you do to relax take the bandage off and let it get some fresh air and dry out.

Yeah, the wife's an RN and takes real good care of all my wounds. She even patched up 1066Vik very nicely before his ER trip at the gathering. I do my basic clean up then she'll get in there and scrub it out and all. It heals faster wet rather than dry so I'm sure it'll stay bandaged up. I only go to the Dr for really bad stuff. Knock on wood, been a good long while since I've had to do that. Pretty sure I got it clean immediately by scrubbing it with am alcohol vipe then gooped some antibac. on it. Then the bandaid and the tape. This is about 6 hrs later. Some pretty gross meat under those flaps hehe.

NC - How long has it been since your last Tetanus shot?

A general use drill bit just lying around waiting to cause finger mayhem probably has a bazillion and a half germs crawling around.

Your supposed to drink the alcohol not dip your finger in it, You big dummy! :D

Everyone needs to go put bacon on something and then have three bourbons. Or else, what are we even fighting for?

Yeah, bourbon sounds about right. I'm up on my shots. The wife got me all patched up right. The drill bits in my work van don't just lay around, they get used a lot so yeah, prob all kinds of dirty. Povidone-iodine and bactracin seem to be the way to go. We have a pretty extensive med kit.
Hmmm...not gonna bother with bacon but I have some steak leftover from last night. It was our 20th anniversary...dunno how she thought I'd eat 4 NY strips but I'm sure thankful she had it in mind!

 Best nurses out there IMO. My wife is also an RN. Sometimes I do find shes a little rougher with me then she would be with her patients. She knows how to distract me while shes patching me up. :D

Drilling holes in yourself sucks, My brother in law got himself pretty good two years ago with a half inch bit while drilling a bolt out of a lawn mower. Bit broke and he went into the thumb meat of his palm. Almost went right through. Doctor at the hospital said it was a miracle he missed all the tendons. He turned it into a kinda shrine in his room with all the little bits of hand still on it.

oh and in on 2 like the cool kids do!

Ron Swanson would be disgusted with you.

Yeah, I only got thru 2 and a half then hit the taters and salad. I knew I was done when the hiccups got me.

Dang TBL...I'll consider myself lucky on that count. I was pissed so I chuncked the bit in the woods.
I'd rather an RN work on me than a Dr anyway. They know how the shiz is really done. The Doc usually just comes in to have a look. Unless ur talking surgery and stuff but minor wounds, yeah.
