some doctor guy or other i heard about suggested clean it up, and put vaseline on it, and leave it open but covered. skin heals, and pushes around. bandages are too tight, and restrict healing and keep badness in?

Opening night was excellent.
Yeah, bourbon sounds about right. I'm up on my shots. The wife got me all patched up right. The drill bits in my work van don't just lay around, they get used a lot so yeah, prob all kinds of dirty. Povidone-iodine and bactracin seem to be the way to go. We have a pretty extensive med kit.
Hmmm...not gonna bother with bacon but I have some steak leftover from last night. It was our 20th anniversary...dunno how she thought I'd eat 4 NY strips but I'm sure thankful she had it in mind!
You guys are making me hungry for the Creole dishes I should have ready access to but my car is kaBOOM! Gonna make me start cooking with what I've got.
Maybe get a courtbouillon going with tilapia

Congrats on 20 years!! Thats a great milestone there brother!!
Im a doctor... As far as cuts go... The best thing you can do is take several shots, this increases the body's will to fight off infection and also increases blood flow to the area. As every knows increased and thinned blood is excellent during wounds. If by the time you have taken your 3rd shot, if the cut is still bleeding you need to up the alcohol content of what your shooting. So if your working with whiskey move up to moonshine etc.
After 8 shots, if the cut is still bleeding you then need to apply a tourniquet... At this point there is no saving your entire arm... So do some experimenting with chopping through arms... No need to waste the opportunity.
And as always.. Yelling "THIS IS SPARTA" during the act of chopping your arm off scores major cool points.

Do shots, cut stuff, make bad ideas into terrible realities.
WW, somehow the bigghoss quote in your sig seems specifically appropriate to be at the bottom of your last post.
