Dang, almost to 5,000 posts. Guess I better go through my junk and figure out what to give away.

Whats up guys? Is there a thread of everyone's haul from blade? Today was a sad day for me. Grandma's wake. Tomorrow she will be buried with my Grandpa up in Bushnell fl military cemetery. He was a WWII vet.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My mother and father are buried at the national cemetery in bushnell. As far a cemeteries go, it's a beautiful place.

In on....four....

That's what I get for having a full-time job...and bees (up to 3 hives now, doing a cut out on a church friend's shed tomorrow and should have a 4th then)...and helping my wife with her chickens...and...

Edit: Now that I caught up reading...

Rub some bacon on it.

Eat some bacon and drink some bourbon. Three bourbons and you'll be fine.

And if he isn't fine after three bourbons, he won't care one way or the other.

Everyone needs to go put bacon on something and then have three bourbons. Or else, what are we even fighting for?

Reminds me of a story my wife tells. Her father was a doctor and served as a Navy doc in WWII and Korea. He also spent a year as the doctor for Alcatraz back when the Bird Man was there. She used to get nosebleeds as a child which he would cauterize if he had the time. She got a nosebleed once when they were just about to sit down to dinner, so he didn't want to drag her to the office. Soooo, he took a strip of bacon, rolled it up and stuck it up her nostril. The direct pressure stopped the bleeding and the salt and nitrites apparently help prevent infection. Seems like a waste of a perfectly good piece of bacon, but apparently there are medical uses for the delicious pork product.

some doctor guy or other i heard about suggested clean it up, and put vaseline on it, and leave it open but covered. skin heals, and pushes around. bandages are too tight, and restrict healing and keep badness in?

Might I suggest raw honey with some of the wax comb and propolis (the resin that bees collect and use to glue stuff together)? It's reported to be as good as or better than triple-antibiotic ointment for wound treatment.

On my way to get a new phone, and about time to, my old one keeps dropping calls and will barely send a text

It's only a waste if she didn't eat it.
