What games do y'all have on Steam?

The only 3 that I've played in the past 5 years are Half-Life(2), Counter-Strike, and Wolfenstein. Unfortunately I don't have time for games, the kids get in the way ;) Maybe in a few years when they'll be able to play with me.... Or not :D I'd rather them spend the time outside :D

I'll probably get Wasteland 2 soon, after I make sure I've gotten everything I can from Fallout 3 and my Xbox 360.

I played all those back in day. Along with Delta Force and Delta Force 2, Black Hawk Down (which I loved). But I had to give them all up and be a dad. I did recently (well, over the winter) get on Steam and played one game (the name escapes me at the moment) my 16 year old turned me on to. It was a FPS that looked more cartoonish than cool. Players running around with all sorts of weird stuff on. Anyway, I played it for about a month but lost interest and deleted Steam from my pc.

Jerry - I've got some coors lite from 2006 and some grapefruit shandy saved up for you.
looking forward to the visit from Murph and the missus.
From the back porch we can see a couple towns' worth of fireworks and not have to listen to them.
there are also 7 or 9 breweries within 60 miles of the house, some close enough to shopping that the warden can have fun, too.....

Hell yea - Free beer. I could scrounge up some new old stock PBR and we could have a proper hootenanny.

It sounds like a good spot to enjoy the show though! We will be meeting the Hunts downtown for some baseball followed by Indy's fireworks. I'm looking forward to it.

Team Fortress 2? If you start playing again, tell me. I'll join you in a game of it.

Never played any of them.

I've been playing Doorkickers a lot on Steam. Gunpoint is really fun too. I'm trying to sell my PS2 to get the money to buy a PS3 so I can play Destiny and Black Ops II with a friend.

Here's hoping that the young scout who drowned in a flash flood at Philmont wasn't spikebot. Tragic that anyone died there. There were also 2 bear attacks in the last week, one on an adult, the other on another 14 y.o. scout. Been a bad week for Philmont.

Maybe that is what happened to Mountain Mist...?

Anthony UK, thanks for all your input.
However, you've been here less than a month.
The moderators of the Becker subforum, put together, have been at BFC for decades, and yes, the conversation in question has gone south more times than we can remember.
In accordance with BFC posting policies, we have suggested that politically oriented posts go in Politics. That's not overreach; those are rules of the forum writ large.
Overreach would have been immediate warnings and infractions. No one has gone that route.
We're not going to continue to debate this matter ad nauseum, however.

Didn't say or imply overreach, but overreaction,
This has nothing to do with politics,
It was a sane, reasonable and legit disscussion, (there was no flaming from any side)

But I appologise too all you ladies, I didn't realize it was that time of the month LOL :p

And yes, I'm new here, doesn't make me wrong though does it?
The only mistake I made was assuming I could have an adult discussion on a subject matter,
My intention was not to cause anyone to overreact or make uncomfortable,

I just wanted to see someone's point of view, simple,

Yeah, I hear ya there. Being a dad is way more fun then video games too :D Its nice to get that nostalgic feeling when you start smoking the kids tho ;) oldschool skillz.

No big surprise there ;) Half Life 2 and Counter Strike are over 10 years old. Half Life 2 was released in 2004 and CS was first released in 1999. I got a PS3 that we mainly used for Netflix now haha. The 'Battlefield' series was my go-to FPS. Played a little bit of C.O.D but didn't like it as much.

They're both still really popular with PC gamers though. Now Counter Strike: Global Offensive is the popular CS game. HL2 is still popular. I tried the demo of HL2, just didn't think it was worth the price to me.

I heard about the flash flood they had out there. That was absolutely awful.

You need to go back farther than Half-life 2 and download Half-life and play that. You could even pick up a copy of half-life for your PS2. As far as #2, the orange box is only $24 ish for PC, PS3, or Xbox 360 on the big river site. It includes HL2 as well as the two episodes afterwards, team fortress and Portal. Portal is an absolute blast if you like puzzles.

So, I'm going to the beach for a week mid July, I'm thinking a 9 or 5 to fend off sharks..maybe a 15 for an eye shot? 3 attacks here in the past couple weeks. Geez....

Holy crap I've missed like 10 pages ov ze shnark. Damn you Game of Thrones!

Dubz: thanks for that 3D art, I now feel even more talentless :D

Jerry.D: why did you gave to mention Half Life? I proudly failed Uni due to that game, Opposing Forces and Counter Strike. Ok, not proudly. See the above comment..

Dawso: if you haven't played Half Life, you suck. If you believe that HL2 isn't worth the money, you suck.

Saturated Shadow: I still don't think that is grippy enough. But I know you must take into consideration the profit margin. You know, corporate greed and such.

Slice my brother: fat rig. Bet you'll have some fun in that beast. I used to be all about LOW but now I'm all for practicality (this is all YOUR fault BF!). Get out there and have some fun brother!

Anyway, I'm bored so I decided to camp out on one of my dogs beds in the back yard. Winter here isn't cold especially with a fire..

..plus I decided that I'd give my brother in law a gift. My sister is up with her rat bag son (he's 2 and a half and knows the scientific name of about 7 bajillion types of dinosaurs). Will (my BRiL) loves camping and fishing but doesn't have a decent knife. He's a professional chef by trade but living in a small town means he doesn't make much coin but he's well versed with steel. So I thought he'd appreciate some delicious Cro-Van...

...here you go Willy. A nice, fresh, unused BK15 for ya brother! I've diseased my son with Beckeritis giving him a BK11 to use for working on the farm (which he is just mental over) so I thought I'd spread the "love" (affliction) to my bro in law. Pretty sure he'll dig it..

Oh, and it's almost sad to see that protonstitute got banned. I'm really wondering if anyone has had such a awesomely hilarious legacy as that cheesed!ck.

Here's to proton. May BK2s fly freely from little kids hands and big profit margins of global knife conglomerates prevail..

(Yes I'm drinking lè Wild Turkey from a jar)

One last thing, who came up with toasting marshmallows on a fire? Whoever they are, muchos kudos. I've just performed 3000 reps of toasted goodness and my tongue is calloused to the max!

Yeah, Springy, I missed a bunch too, it was rollin.
I gave my brother, who had no decent steel, a 15 also. He absolutely fell in love with it. Good onya!
It's almost a shame the two of us weren't around for the fun...
