Oh... So Beekay is Springy ??

Looks like a good time to me. I could really go for a cold drink by a nice fire myself!!

Should be getting a new wedding band to try today. Tried so many different ones now and none work out. Cant wear most metals. Dont like shiny either. Loved the tungsten ring i got but it had a nickel binder in it that gave me a rash all up my fingers. Then i seen those wood watches and that gave me an idea....

I found a guy that lives about 20 minutes away and he made me a wooden buckeye burl wedding band. I get it today and will see how that works out. $25 bucks. Thats a price for a wedding band im happy with LOL

WW - I'm right there with you on "nickle rash". Any ring I wear that had nickle in it causes a rash the looks and feels like poison ivy. My mother's skin eats silver - she can corrode silver jewelry in as little as 4 - 5 hours her sweat is so acidic. My grandmother couldn't wear watches as her body's self-generated magnetic field would lock up any watch she wore.

On the good side, I can "water-witch", or find, underground water pipes (metal pipes don't even need to have moving water in them) to within 3 inches using a couple of bent metal clothes hangers.

I have a friend that's a contractor so he just got a tattoo on his ring finger.

What's crazy is i have no issues with poison ivy. I have played all in the stuff with no problems. My father isnt allergic to it either. My kids are. We had some on the back fence. Daughter got a rash all up her arm and leg... I pulled it with bare hands, no issues..... That metal stuff on the other hand messes my skin up.

I wont even get color ink in my tats because they say people with metal allergies are more prone to have allergic reactions to color inks, guess there is metal in them or sumfin.

I know its a lot easier to remove a ring than a tat though LOL, i wont risk it.

My wife doesnt want me to get tats on my face, neck, hands, or feet... Everywhere else is fine.... So i go with that compromise.

Not even a wedding band tat? How about a zip tie? lol

The zip tie could work, may not be fashionable or comfortable... But it could work LOL

I got the buckeye ring though and it looks great. Comfortable so far too, will wear it a while and see how it works out, so far im diggin it.

Just got back from getting my haircut. One of those barbers that use straight razors and hot foam lathers and stuff like that. Told him id like the sides of my beard trimmed just a bit, kind of blended into the goatee, but i wanted the goatee area left long.... He chopped my beard off. Just took the clippers and started at the side so i thought all was well.. Then he went right over the goatee area..

I stood up when i seen the hair fall and said WTF??? And he said "i thought you wanted the beard cleaned up?" I said "NO, i specifically said leave the goatee area long" and another customer sitting there said "i heard him"

The barber says "Oh sorry, i guess this cut is free...."

Man i was so close to punching that man in his face, so close. He was more worried about what was playing on the damn TV screen than getting my cut right. When he finished everything up he had the nerve to ask "but it did turn out nice right?" I said "NO. do i look happy right now? Its not what i wanted or asked for"

It took me 6 months to grow that beard. I hate people.

But now it will be all even and lush WW. Plus think about how much fun you had growing it out in the first place, and you get to do that all over again!

Um..... No. I miss it LOL.

Before going today, when i pulled the hair under my chin straight it was just under 4" long. It could almost reach my eye LOL, it was curly so it didnt look as long but still.... Now, when i pull it straight its about an inch. Still some hair there... But way less than i want.

My wife just walked in a couple minutes ago and she thinks it looks real nice....

Regardless what she thinks we are going to hold a memorial service later this evening. All are welcomed to attend.

Yeah, Springy, I missed a bunch too, it was rollin.
I gave my brother, who had no decent steel, a 15 also. He absolutely fell in love with it. Good onya!
It's almost a shame the two of us weren't around for the fun...

I caught a little bit of it but decided to use my neurons and remain neutron and stay out of it. Probably would've gotten myself banned as well had I chimed in..

Ha! I had a feeling I knew you Zz! So, how's the family and the rest of the X-men?

Hey bruz, sorry to hear about your beard. That sucks. I too hate people that have no idea or pay no attention to what they're doing. Really gives me the irrits. At least the misso likes it though. There's one up side I guess..

Gifts of steel are always the best ones! I'm sure your brother inlaw will love it!

Smoking going up for the beard WW

If the worst thing that happened was an accidental beard trimming, I'd say today was a pretty good day.

In other words, how much effort really goes into growing a beard?
Wait a few more months and it will be good as new.

Quitcher bitchin'.

:p

I didn't realize that Smith and Sons actually makes fixed too. If I would have known that I would have actually gotten over to them at Blade.

Is that their Mid-Tech Blaze?

Apparently Mid-tech is the hot new thing! Fisk has a blade out that way, Jerry Hossom has a couple and another that is supposed to debut at Shot, Fiddleback is doing one too now aren't they?

Hammocking types - what size tarp do I need to buy for adequate overnight coverage?

WW - sorry about the beard.

Brave is the model name.

Fisk has a mid-tech blade?

Yeah, Andy Roy has three (I think) mid-tech models. I won this one (the "Runt") at Blade.
