If anyone ever says the housing market is crap these days, I'd recommend they check their facts. My house was put on the market this past Sunday. Shown on Monday, and within 48 hours there was an offer, a counter offer, and an acceptance.

We hoped it would go fast but we were expecting a couple weeks, not two days. LOL

No worries, we planned and planned and planned for this...our timeline is still awesome.

Even 50% success rate would make me happy... Im thinking she wont be amused, and will prolly just leave the list on the fridge.... Either that or she'll grab my wallet before she goes.... Yep.. Now im hiding my wallet :p

LOL! Every shopping list my wife has ever made I have defiled in some sort of way. Usually I just hide in "whiskey", and "Dabloons", and turn every thing else on the list into curse words, or innuendo.

Congrats! And good thing you had a plan in place. I've heard about that happening a few times and the seller's were like, "Now what?" and had to make some fast decisions.

I've also heard about a few situations where the home just sat, and sat and sat on the market.

Time to get packin'!

I'm in Chicago, just finished at Manny's, came to the apartment and realized I may need a nap. Tonight I'm going to go get some Polish food for supper. Going to a smorgasbord. Not sure if I'm going to Jolly Inn or the Red Apple. However it will for sure be one of the two. Jolly Inn is closer but Red Apple is better, slightly. Decisions decisions...

Moose glad to hear you are back home safe and sound, and that the cops couldn't trace this one back to you... <_<

A family friend who lives two blocks away put her home on the market a month ago and hasn't had a single offer. Also, we already have tons of boxes, had three yard sales to get rid of extra stuff we can't pack, a connection to get more boxes, funds, transport, murphy's law days (where nothing goes right), routes, hotels, gas stops, etc etc. Hopefully, it all goes smooth.

Gave the project double bit a soak in a citric acid mixture over night to break up the rust. Worked a lot better than intended!

Next, its time to grind a bit on the bit ;) One side I'm going to leave pretty much alone, as a "splitting" or "hard use" edge, then one side I am going to take down and thin out, as the chopping edge, nothing new there. Refinish it, then planning on putting it on a shortened handle as a smaller pack type double bit. We shall see...
 
That's a good looking axe head, should make a dandy pack axe.


Next time we go on a trip I'm thinking about writing a review of gas station corndogs.

Start a youtube channel reviewing gas station food as well as explaining the finer points of snake flinging and uppercutting horses into giraffes.

No! The mystery is half the thrill. You win some and you lose some, but the gamble and thrill of the game is the real reason why you grab those plastic tongs, your wax paper and pull your corndog from the rollers.
 
Well, I thought about it a lot and tried to come up with something cool to post for my 3000th post. Couldn't come up with a dang thing, so....
