So... My son is learning to skate board and we took him to his first skate park and of couse he won't go down any ramps unless I go down them first.... so after numerous falls, roll outs, bumps and bruises... I'm getting a board for myself and gonna take on skateboarding as my new work out. I was suprised to see guys my age boarding the pool after 6 months of skateboarding.. all I know today is I am sore and bruised up and I wanna go out and do it again.

Today we are taking him to his first rodeo.
 
Sweet JD! The wife and I tried longboarding a few weeks ago. She said she wants one for Christmas lol

Sounds like fun brother!!

Never been good on a skateboard myself. Wasnt TOO bad on roller blades but that lasted all of maybe 1 year in middle school... And mostly that was just an excuse to go to town where they had pavement... So i could then meet up with a girl...

Under the Dome should be back in a couple weeks too. Really wanting to see where that goes now...

She's still on instagram. She's been busy with school and workouts, and hubby (Cameron) has just completed his second book. Not too much knife stuff from her lately but she's still around.

I used to have a BareBack long board that I used to cruise around on when I was at Uni. Loved that board. Had large oval cut outs above the wheels for hard carving action. Came off it one day hitting a hill we often used to hammer down. Was doing roughly 60k's, got the mega death wobbles and over Springy went. My head hit a gutter front on and knocked me clean out. My brother said the way I hit it it looked like I broke my neck. Nup. Just full body abrasions. Thankfully I was wearing a helmet. Probably would've killed me if I hadn't been.

That board was bad news. My brother lent it to his mate who got hit by a car riding it. The woman plowed into him, he rolled up the bonnet (hood) up the windscreen and over the roof. He did a flip off the back of the car (this guy was a International grade blader) ran around to the front of the car and started head butting the bonnet like a psycho. The poor woman was terrified. My brother apologized to the lady, dragged his mate away then grabbed my now broken board. No more long boarding for Springy :(
