It works great for immobilization and padding yo desensitized the area.

Don't overdo it, the less tape the better. Don't wanna look like freaky person plus letting it breath is good. Can dap a bit of Neosporin I'd you want at first but keeping it dry will heal better

I'm not going to go into a long explanation but you gotta keep that shit clean, medicated, and esp covered. It heals faster that way. The key is cleaning and fresh bandages. Letting it "air" lets in particles and dries the wound and all the good healing stuff going on dries up along with the skin that is trying to reattatch. That's what a scab does, but if you knock it off or split it, then ur back to an open wound and chance for infection.

Keep it moist and covered, true dat. Anything I've ever let "air out" (i.e. "dry out") scars like crazy. Neo or Baci and coverage, heals and the scab just falls off, leaving some nice, newly bio-manufactured flesh and reduced scarring.

What I'm Saying is you don't want it stinking wet. Leaving it taped up keeps it moist enough, not so much that you sweat with it.

I lopped off the side of my finger with the Bk9 and successfully reattached it via that method with a chopstick cut for the splint. There's tissue and nerve damage but at least the meat sealed back together, then new skin grew over most of the old in a small circle like fashion. Cool beans! :) 👍

Hey has anyone heard from Captain Airyca? Was checking out her old threads the other day and man she had some cool threads. Girl likes to get out in the wild and do some cool stuff..
 
She still pops in from time to time. Her husband is probably trying to keep her away as much as possible after finding out just what type of fellas we beckaheds be.

I dont be seeing Cam, Rogue bowie, Saymon, bsmith_shoot, DJ, TwinStick, oxide, Wambo, saturated shadow, Paden, Erdbeereis, Nsvens89, CCMI, K9, JustAFleshWound.... Well to name a few anyways... A couple i know why... Most i dunno....

My finger is about as good as its going to get after doing this:

I've lost a little bit of feeling in it. The deepest part that I lopped off is kinda numb compared to the rest of the finger. But it closed normally, and even looks almost the same shape as before :D

I bought this off "a guy" at Blade. It's been getting daily usage since. Pretty simple design, very handy. Great work Jim!

Best I've got is some crumbly pics of it covered in super glue, they have been posted in the Becker forum before, heck hoss was in chat when I did it..

And same here, shaped good but noticeable, which was what I was worried about if it didn't reattach, does meat even grow back? Lol

The area feels numb and thick normally but if you push down it stings like crazy which sucks because I play guitar and I'm a huge believer in hitting high notes with that pinky while chord strumming.
