Nc slice, I gotta tell you from much Experience that covering just the wound area with a bit of gauze or paper napkin and then wrapping that thing down with coach brand (Johnson and Johnson) athletic tape is the only way to go. It works great for immobilization and padding yo desensitized the area.
Don't overdo it, the less tape the better. Don't wanna look like freaky person plus letting it breath is good. Can dap a bit of Neosporin I'd you want at first but keeping it dry will heal better
Thanks WW!
It almost looks that way now Springy lol. I'll take it down some in the morning.
I'm not going to go into a long explanation but you gotta keep that shit clean, medicated, and esp covered. It heals faster that way. The key is cleaning and fresh bandages. Letting it "air" lets in particles and dries the wound and all the good healing stuff going on dries up along with the skin that is trying to reattatch. That's what a scab does, but if you knock it off or split it, then ur back to an open wound and chance for infection.
LOL! I can hear this in Homer Simpson's voice....Hehe scabs. Nature's bandage. Nature's crunchy, 'stop pickin at it' bandage..
Good heavenly Lord! That knife is sooooooo sexy! Love the features in the tang. Remarkable..
shame about the scratches![]()

It's a USER!
Well, it is now.![]()
See below. The man knows what he's talkin' 'bout.
Keep it moist and covered, true dat. Anything I've ever let "air out" (i.e. "dry out") scars like crazy. Neo or Baci and coverage, heals and the scab just falls off, leaving some nice, newly bio-manufactured flesh and reduced scarring.
What I'm Saying is you don't want it stinking wet. Leaving it taped up keeps it moist enough, not so much that you sweat with it.
I lopped off the side of my finger with the Bk9 and successfully reattached it via that method with a chopstick cut for the splint. There's tissue and nerve damage but at least the meat sealed back together, then new skin grew over most of the old in a small circle like fashion. Cool beans!👍
Pics or it didn't happensnark!
My finger is about as good as its going to get after doing this:

I've lost a little bit of feeling in it. The deepest part that I lopped off is kinda numb compared to the rest of the finger. But it closed normally, and even looks almost the same shape as before
beautiful looking knife Mike!
