Snark will be weak for a few days whilst Becker Mountain is being raided.

They don't have wifi on the mountain? What kind of cheaper operation is it? snark... :D

BTW....if someone gets there tonight, make sure Ethan has found the package on his porch and unpacked the cooler for stuff to defrost...

I'm not a snarkoholic but i do binge snark when i do. That reminds me gotta get some take some pics for the drink and blades thread that i always forget about while drinking. Don't worry it will include a 2. The 9 is in recovery. Does anybody else feel guilty leaving some B's at home. I left the 9 under my nightstand so noone would steal it when i'm gone. I'm sorry 9.:( I love you.

Home from work. Sitting on my front lawn with the laptop enjoying the beautiful weather watching the kids play with the neighbors.

If one is going to have an existential crisis, it's probably best not to have it while stuck in traffic on the Tobin bridge.

It's not always easy to distinguish between existentialism and a bad mood.

NEW BOOTS! Timberland PRO Boondock waterproof leather work boots YES !

Pretty good price in the river, but I will say get them a half size smaller than you think you need The toe cup is HUGE. I have abnormally wide feet considering that I dont have large feet 9-10 depending on the shoe maker) and they are bigger than the size indicates.
Comfy though. Anti Fatigue, stitched and glued treads, reinforced toe and heel, and rubberized reinforcement to be anti shock. Great tread and grip too. I might have to buy the winter boot version too, maybe next month.

Sweet find Mike! Rat 1's have their own following. Aus-8a makes a good working edge but will lose a shaving edge really fast.

Those are good looking. And they come in 14W!!!! I need to remember that for when I'm in the market next.

Great looking boots S.T. I might have to add them to my big river wish list. My birthday isn't too far away so... boots or keep saving for the RBK?

Thanks for the tip.

This was the view out my windshield this overcast morning. Of course, what you can't see are the ½ million cars in front of me making the ~85 mile drive a 3 hour long endeavor. (This is the Zakim Bridge, which comes after the Tobin.)

Daizee thanks for the recommendation on the chainsaw files for the sharpening notch choil.

They cut through steel like butter. Used one to put a sharpening notch choil on here and it took just a couple minutes.

Well if you've got to be stuck in a traffic jam at least you had an artsy view.

I remember that bridge, in Boston. Here's a shot I took of it:
