Page four however is even better. I'm holding out until then.

Had a horrible morning at work. Had to drive to Shobeiner (80 miles one way) for a 30 minute job. Got back in town and have to be at a job in Alton at 2. Going to Fast Eddies for lunch. Dark, dank, bar. With CHEAP food that is TASTY! Diet is still going well-ish so said screw it.

A week has gone by now and it's official: it's more inconvenient and aggravating that the thieves stole my Leatherman than that they stole my only computer.

Just realized my passport has expired - shit. Need to renew it if I hope to get into the United States later this month. One more thing on the growing to-do list.

I found that funny for some reason. Sorry about your stuff getting stolen, I know the feeling.

What about the one you showed me at the gathering? I thought that one was hers.

Yeah, you'd think as small as it is that it's a gal's axe. I wanna get another full size felling axe or a double bit.

Be carefull with the wheather out there folks. living in Indiana, tornadoes are common and frankly scare the sh!t out of me. Ive personally been in the middle of 3 of them and been lucky every time. I dont screw around with them. Wheather was perfect conditions for them last night. Both of my kids came into our room last night to sleep. We have a half bath in our house that is the most centrally located room in the house. Got up this morning and to my suprise, my son (just turned 9 last week mind you) had 4 bottles of water, granola bars, light sticks, flashlight, his moms cell phone on the charger all on the counter. on the floor, he had some blankets and pillows, even had the cats food and water bowl in there. Im real proud of him. he did this on his own and this is common behaivor for him. im not sure where he gets his smarts from but Im thankfull he has them.

Only idiots would heat treat in the middle of tornado warnings.

I need to get a passport. Father in law has been wanting to take me to his cabin in Canada. It's this whole other country.

Mine doesn't expire for another 4 years so I'm good. Thankfully.

Yeah same place. Technically it's in Illinois, right across the river from Missouri. I had to work up there so I said "Screw it" Course I didn't realize that EVERYONE in town was going to be there when they opened. Took me almost an hour to get my food! In the first 20 minutes of being open, they had 50 orders placed.

So I wrote up a new thread about how I modified a sheath from another knife to work with my BK10, and I can't post it. My browser says the connection the BFC was interrupted and when I try to reload I get a blank page. Luckily I didn't lose the post, I just can't post it and I can't even get to a screen that tells me why. Internet connection is good, I can browse BFC and other pages just fine. And I have to leave for work soon dangit.

Edit: came across a thread in tech support that the site has been having issues with one thing or another so I guess I'll try again later.

Gorgeous part of the country!

Have only seen photos. Yes it is pretty. I think he said he's had it for 40ish years. He wants to show me how everything works at the cabin. My wife will inherit it, and he's 88 years old, so he thought it a good idea to show me.

Oh man, you need to go! Seriously! So jealous.

He has a summer home on a lake in Vermont also, but he's going to sell it. He knows there's no way we can afford it. The taxes are $500 per month. He pays more per year in taxes, than what he gave for the place 50 years ago.

They have food at PT's don't they?

Only knife use today was to use my phat bob to reach somewhere narrow to depress the release latch on an ethernet cable, but you guys will prolly appreciate this picture anyway:

wish I could take pictures - our sky is amber colored and the lightning is flying horizontal between clouds with the occasional ball end.
spooky doesn't even begin to half describe it.
