i saw the stanley thing at my local tarcheeze and it's $15, and thought to myself "do i really need one of these?" and i put it back

$5? maybe. it's cute. however, i got a Ti thing recently, even with a similar lid, and it nests a Guyot pretty well. just don't see myself using that system of cooking/etc as yet. we'll see. we'll see.

clearances happen. target has been known to toss stuff that's $20 for $2.98 in the hope someone buys it. heh.

Saw this as well had it in my cart....put it back for some reason. Let me know what you think of it
 
thrillbilly, thanks for the heads up on the $20 Bass Pro hammock.
I like that it comes in Hunter Green, and am thinking about picking one up for a gear sling.

Hit a local stream yesterday with a co-worker, and between the two of us, we caught over 40.
I sort of kept a running count in my head and had 21 at the end of the day. He said he caught a couple dozen.
Mostly small fry, but interesting diversity: bass (largemouth, smallmouth, rock bass), bream, lots of the tropical-looking longeared sunfish, gar, freshwater drum, catfish. Heck, I even foul hooked an alewife.
Here are a few of the catches.

The little sunfish were crazy aggressive. This champ took on a lure about his size. They were even hitting spinner baits.

We could not have had better weather and water conditions.

Biscuit, with that much variety it looks like you went fishing in a freshwater aquarium...
 
Threw 'em all back. The only ones big enough to eat were two or three of the bass and the catfish.
Wish I'd gotten pics of the gar and drum he caught, but I was busy fishing.
 
Looks like a heck of a nice way to spend an afternoon there Guyon.
 
I love that Harpeth. Doesn't look quite as swift through there as the last time I saw it...
