Agree Murph.

That was one of the most breathtaking views I had ever seen. Having a cup of coffee and watching the sun rise from that spot would have been incredible.

Dang moose, after handling his, i really want a set of micarta for my 16. They had a great feel to them.

Jesus died on the cross. Mainly as a marketing ploy?
Not getting into a theological debate. However Romans didn't use crosses to hang people
they used stakes. With a cross the victim can use their arms and legs to pull themselves up and relieve the pressure on their chest to take a breath. With a stake they can't get the pressure off their chest so they effectively suffocate to death.

Sorry, history always intrigues me and that was something I recently learned.

Again, I don't want to start a debate either, but the Roman's were masters of execution and used a vast number ways to accomplish this. Including stakes, crosses, x-shaped crosses, etc. The word crucify is actually derived from a Latin term crucifigere (from Latin crux [meaning cross] and figere [meaning fasten]).

Let's just say that they were really good at what they did, regardless of the countless methods they used.

I always like the electric chair. Talk about a shitty way to go.

Or hanging. As always, the moments leading up to it, had to have been the worse. A warriors death (sword piercing the base of the skull) was always considered painless. Who knows, not to much intel after the fact.

I like ponies and knives.

Ok, I know it's off topic, but so is this thread, so how many of you have not voted for my next BH quote of the month? The link is in my sig.

Score, OLJ!! Iz has been kinda quiet lately. I still get emails from him about what's up for sale, but everytime I log onto his site, it's already gone! Tell us some more about that one!

We had a "rimfire madness" day on Saturday and my son got to shoot his 22 rifle for the first time. I brought my AR-15 and dropped the 22lr conversion in and let him shoot with a red dot at the end of the day. Little marksman that he is said he prefers his iron sights. Here's a couple of his favorite targets and the weapons of said destruction:

Nice! How do you like the Remington 597? I've got one in black that I take out plinking from time to time. Floated the barrel, put a custom hammer in it and it is a tack driver.
