Snarking at the speed of sludge...

Seems most jobs I have had to commute too. One commute was about 45 minutes, but I was a teen so no biggy. Then one was just across the metro but when traffic hit a 30 min commute could turn into hours... My last job I had a 3.5 hour commute to work, would stay away from home for 4-5 days, then 3.5 back no matter what time of day or how long I had been awake. SO glad I dont have to do that anymore. You would always see interesting stuff though....

I used to have about a 45min commute. In traffic... It would take an hour and a half :(. Now I live 5 miles from work :D

HA! Traffic. The most traffic I've ever encountered on my way to work was the time I hit that cow. That's why I hate going north past Colorado Springs. Last time I went home on vacation there was traffic from the north side of the Springs all the way to the Wyoming state line. Luckily coming back I usually hit Denver area around 2:00am

I thought about putting a piss bucket in the corner of my basement. Then i could avoid going up 2 flights of stairs to piss. Id barely have to walk at all then HAHA

Don't wear pants, put some straw or sawdust down and just go right where you're standing.

Get a box of Depends, a carton of energy bars, and some jugs of water. Then you can stay in the basement all day. If you strung up your hammock, you can stay there for weeks.

Sounds like some crazy astronaut sh**! My average drive to work is around 10 minutes. So no complaints here.

Bladite - sorry to hear about the lay off. I hope it works out for you. If you land the better job make sure your old boss hears about it.:D

The Toronto Area has the third worst traffic in the world measured in commuter time vs. Distance traveled.

My first job was the worst...almost 2 hours by buss too and from :(

Yep, the joys of suburban sprawl. If you live and work right in Toronto's downtown core you rarely have to drive. Anything outside of the core is a gong show.

Yikes! Where the heck was that?

I lived in Mississauga and bussed into East Brampton to work in a warehouse. By car it only took 25min but the route and cross over of the two city transits sucked

Hey all! Got a video coming up with a little update on the ZT 0550 tip.
Filmed it by hand with my cellphone alone so it's going to be terrible.
A little updates and some cutting demonstrations.
It's rendering but here's the link.
I have to head out with my buddy we're going to see fury. I'll talk to you gents later!

thanks, no worries so far. couple paychecks out still.

my management had nothing to do with this, it's clerks and spreadsheets on high, who are trimming the fat, with the only thing on their minds to make enough money so the board and investors get their xmas bonuses. they don't actually seem to care about the products or the people. if they suck the company dry, they win.

Have to share the awesome time I had Monday. Yesterday was my sisters birthday and since we live about 2.5 hours away from each other, the wife and her got together and decided we would have a picnic at one of the state parks midway between us. I have two children, my daughter 3 (soon to be 4) and my son 2, and my sister has a 3 year old boy, 2 year old girl, and an infant girl (about a month or 2). I absolutely love my Nephew and nieces and after a wonderful picnic, and a lot of play we all decided a nice little nature hike was in order. Had an absolute blast with the kids hiking and they loved it. Of course they got a little tired and my son probably rode on my shoulders for almost an hour but it was a lot of fun and the kids ate it up. Very proud of all of them.... It was exactly what the doctor ordered considering the wife and I have had a very hard past 3 weeks with school and her finishing up her masters. Always therapeutic to get out on a beautiful day, sweat, kick some dirt, play with the kiddos, and just celebrate with close family. I highly recommend it.

Amen! There ain't too many things in life that are better than spending time with your family in the great outdoors. Idefinitely need to make time this fall for some of that.

spending time with someone else's family in the woods ;) don't get caught? :D

Started harvesting corn today. Holy cow, I didn't realize it yielded so much per acre. We did 136 acres and the scale in the tractor I'm running said I ran 1,149,500lbs of corn through it.

Do you know how many bushels/acre you all are getting up there? Just curious.
