I started to test out the BK15 today. Its work started in the kitchen and ended in the kitchen, with a brief stop over at the bbq.
I got lazy when cutting up the pork loin last time so I left my chops like 3 inches thick
That... or I was hanging with lefty and had the idea that mini pork rosters would be awesome. Since I needed them quick for dinner I decided to half em. But keep to thick ones for me
End result with beans, baked sweet potatoes, and mixed veggies in a curry sauce.
It was most excellent.
The 15 handled like a champ. Extremely slicey, put our cheepo santoku chefs knife to shame. I even use it at my plate for dinner. Currently getting the materials together to strip'er.
After dinner the kids wanted a bubble bath so we all went up stairs and I got em in the tub. I added a little too much solution to the water and there was like a good foot thick of bubbles in the tub. The kids loved it! But then it came time to hose them down hah! My daughter is awesome(2 years old)... I turned on the shower and she was just jumping right in. My son(4 years old)..... hates water with a passion. I tell him to close his eyes and just go for it and get it over with lol... and he finally does it but was semi- trantruming. As soon as he gets out and drys off... he runs to the kitchen... grabs a pen and paper... and writes a "NO!" sign for the shower. At this point I had to tag out with the wife cause I was laughing so hard.

The wife asked her boss about getting off on Saturdays, if she would work an evening during the week. He told her that they are gonna make her assistant manager, and she can have every other Saturday off. Great freakin news for us. Be nice to be able to have whole weekends at the cabin, and for other stuff as well. Gonna be getting some hike time in now, fo sho. :thumbup:
