Snarking in a Becker Wonderland

Got to take my boys out deer hunting this evening. The 15 year old and I sat in one blind and the 19 year old sat in another. I was really hoping to be able to post some great shots of the BK 62 in action cleaning a deer or two. But no deer were shot. No deer were even seen. But I got to spend time with my boys, so I call it a win.

waiting for the Mod's mods to debut.........

well, this Mod does mod much. if the basic design doesn't hold up, why do much?

i have a Jerry Fisked BK2 - quite nice. a BK10 that someone other than me thinned and convexed - it's a Scandi BK10 ;) uh, i stripped a Buck Froe (worthy!) beyond that... i keep'em sharp, and use'm (or not ;>)

thinned a couple poorly made axes... that more like repurposing a bad object...

why do you guys literally start modding out of the box without giving the actual design a go? mmm?

weirdos!

Well, because it's there. ;)

actually, that seems pretty lame :P

i suggest the 3 week "as is" challenge on new models

certain contests cannot be won, if you modded the knife :D just sayin'

oh, and you still have to have it on your person too... sell outs. jeez.

define "modded"?
I added a coat of sno seal to the sheath and oiled the scales, because after they were soaked in blood and scrubbed clean, the grain raised significantly, telling me it wasn't particularly well sealed.
to me, those are preventive maintenance, not modification.

I agree with this for the most part.

My take is this, the exception is that some of the people here have enough experience to immediately know what works for them and what could better suit their needs.

I’m not at that level. My mods are mainly aesthetic and on the surface; dye jobs, sanding, sealing, stainless hardware upgrades.

Really Dubz Really!!!! That's all you could come up with??? Uh.... The dog ate my homework
You know how I am about my photos. Of course, the indoor ones are gonna suck anywhos. I may do one more thing to it as well. We'll see...
