Thought I'd ask here 1st before I post it up in exchange.
I got an old wilton square grinder with upgraded platen and tool rest which will be up for sale soon. I think I am the 2nd owner. The guy who had it before me kept it pretty clean but hadn't used it in about 25 to 30 years. I have the original part booklet that it came with.
 
Hit the creek this morning, nothing biting... But peaceful out there. Got a little cold though so I came back to the house. Of course now it's warming up... Thinking maybe I'll go back for another hour or 2 after lunch.



I'm having a new custom grille made for my truck. Taking the plastic grill off and won't have a Toyota emblem anymore... But it's going to be pretty sweet I think. Should be complete and installed by the end of the month. The biggest wait is having the emblem I want fabricated and black powder coated. Then they just have to install that on the new grille and send it to me.

Gunna be exciting!

Nah, that would've been cool too though. Lots of detail, would of been more expensive for the emblem too lol

This won't be everyone's cup of beer, but if it turns out right ill be happy as hell! Going with a black SS perf mesh grill with a big Spartan helmet emblem. After installed, the plan is to run red LED lights to his eyes :D

I'll be able to hit a button in the cab and the eyes will light up red.

My paint skills are not top notch lol, but this is what I sent the grille man. He made the one I altered in the image.

In an unrelated topic, One of our maker 'heads made some 'dashis. I managed to get one and I've loved it. Today I decided it was time to sharpen it. This was a mistake. I pulled out the KME and got to work. I figured I would start by determining the angle. 20 degrees, nope. 18 degrees, nope. 19 degrees, nope. 19.5 degrees, nope. 19.7xxx degrees, YUP! That only took me about 10 minutes to figure out. Now lets get to work... 140 grit diamond stone. Oh this is not carbon steel. 25 minutes later still no burr. WTF?! What the hell steel is this?! Another 30 minutes go by, JUST starting to get a burr. Let's go for another 10 minutes and see what's going on. WHAT?! WHERE IS THE BURR?! It's gone! Ok, let's just flip it and maybe get the burr from the other side. Wait, the angle is different here. I'm not even hitting the edge, I'm hitting the shoulder only. CRAP! Ok, lets just see... This one the angle is 21.1xxx angles. Ok, now we are working the whole bevel. 15 minutes later, HEY there's the burr! I'm NOT going any further I don't care if it's only a tiny burr... Wait, why is the burr only on 7/8ths of the length of the edge?! SON OF A !!!!


Basically this was what my next 4 hours was like. However I managed FINALLY to get it sharpened. I would love to give a shout out to Daizee... YOU SIR ARE A SON OF A BITCH!
