how much steel cable is on it? you could save some weight by switching to amsteel blue (spectra/dyneema) synthetic cable and carry a 10-15' steel leader in the back.

The spool is totally full of brand new steel. I've seen pics of other DJ's with smaller winches, I might have over done it a smidge.
All the same, the ironwork is committed. I'll probably store the winch until such time as I square away the springs. In the meantime, I know a pick up truck that needs a winch.

replaced the shower surround in the guest bath today - then spent a few hours out in the shop playing on the wood lathe and with the forge.

Men's conference this morning, changed the kitchen faucet just now, I need to help my bil if I can get a hold of him. Changing a trailer coupler tomorrow afternoon following my Sunday morning go to meeting.

tried to jumper past the seat safety on my mower - failed miserably, so tomorrow I get to go to town and buy a replacement.
hopefully that's the safety stopping my mower from running.

Installed a bookmark clean up extension for Firefox. Have 2,552 bookmarks, and of them, 749 had dead links, haha. Guess I should have done it sooner. In the process of cleaning up duplicates as well.
