I kinda figured you were being reasonably mindful, that's why I didn't give you any guff in your 30-day thread. Carry on
...I don't have to kiss another man to know I wouldn't like it...Everyone else in my family has them, and seems to like them, but they are not for me.
Well, this is true with some things....I don't have to kiss another man to know I wouldn't like it.....but to each their own. Just because one doesn't like them doesn't mean one has to judge. Everyone else in my family has them, and seems to like them, but they are not for me.
Forgot to say, prayers for my aunt would be appreciated. She could possibly have cancer in her eye and if so, in a worst case scenario she would have to have her eye removed. Hopefully it's nothing that serious and it's just a false alarm
however, her handle comment shows that she is perhaps not informed. she wants texture. great, you can buy that. not required though.
Long before I had any experience with Beckers, I read an interview with Ethan wherein he said something to the effect of, "If you need a soft handle to keep a grip, you might need to re-design your handle." (I am very loosely paraphrasing that, but I think y'all get the idea.)
If a handle fits your hand, and is contoured in such a way that helps prevent it slipping out of your hand during hard use or exuberant swinging, texture and material are almost completely irrelevant. No amount of "grippiness" or "stickiness" or checkering or jimping or even magic will keep a poorly-designed handle from getting away from you in wet, sloppy, greasy, blind conditions. But a well-designed handle made of the slickest material will nestle in and remain secure in your paw.
Ethan really did hit a homerun when he designed his handles.
I was wanting some Keen Newport H2s for a while... But now im pretty sure im liking the Teva Omniums better, now i just need to go to a place locally that has some of the brand to try them on. No idea what size to order in them. And my feet dont like shoes. Never bought any types of sandals other than sliders. But sliders SUCK in the woods or on the water. Need to see how these feel, and figure out what size to get. Then build up the courage to spend more than 30 bucks on "sandals" But if they are comfy, they will be used full time like regular shoes so thats a
Crocs are the bomb. Best "get up and pee" camping shoe made. Lightweight. Floating.
Go camo tactical or go home.
Prayers on the way, Noswad.
