I put a disclaimer.... That means im covered... right?? LOL

If your not careful it WILL burn your skin, but alcohol burns away quickly, so if you light your hand on fire (dont do this, speaking hypothetically) the alcohol will burn away quickly, simply shaking your hand FAST is enough to put it out a lot of times....

Give me a few ill make a video.... wait nevermind im sure i can find one...

Similar to this, he doesnt just leave it on fire, or he will get burned, notice it still singed some hairs though... And i always just used rubbing alcohol....

This one is headed back now, again.. After i played with it a bit last time i sent it back. We have been testing geometry and edge thicknesses. The S7 didnt do so well at .03 with a 15dps edge, couldnt hold the edge like 52100, so after a few changes now we got it to where it can handle the abuse but still bite deep. Its at .04" behind the edge, 4° primary 17° secondary/relief bevel and 22° micro bevel apex... Just at 17° per side secondary the edge would still deform, taking the apex to 22° per side seem to stop that.

The work is being done by josh at http://www.razoredgeknives.com/ Great prices, knowledgeable, a supporting BF member, and an awesome guy to talk to all around!!

Something to be said for distal tapered 52100 (or 1084) with a full height convex grind.Pretty terrifying in that size...

Yep, you're covered. :D I hardly ever read disclaimers anyway though. :p :D

That's pretty cool.. Maybe an experiment for tomorrow... :D

You people are such bad influences. :D

Wish I could have a fire... Kinda hard to set one when you backyard is flooding out! Lol.... Flash floods, thunderstorms, and nados tonight. Oklahoma needs to give us a break... At least a weekend off!

We used to do that with Everclear... Much safer than drinking it.
Bladite, I second the tractor. That was what the $$ from my second contract was supposed to be-and yet I am still the "tractor" around here...

Last time I drank Everclear (that I recall) was back about 1983 or so when I was in college. A group of us went to the drive-in movie for a Chuck Norris triple-feature. We set up lawn chairs in the back of one guys pickup truck and passed around the bottle taking swigs out of it. I would not recommend this to impressionable youths... It's pretty difficult to find a drive-in movie theater these days... :D

Im trying to sand a piece of wood small enough to in-lay it in the mini hex hawk handle... If i keep going ALL my fingernails will be sanded away too though LOL

I got one piece pretty much shaped perfectly... Then it broke on me while trying to shove it in the handle.

Hey, thought I said there was a fire ban! Oh, nevermind, that's just for me :(

Wifey's garage sale finds for me whilst I was at work:

Two oldish HB axe heads ('cause I figured I should try hanging my own axe head at least once in my lifetime): $5 for the pair.
Bacon press: $3

Hultafors Bruks! Nice!
Hard to beat that price for swedish steel.

Nice finds man, and great price to boot. Good wife.

We went on an "urban" hike today around Tracy... we found a wallet, looked like it was tossed and lost. we dropped it off at the PD station and continued our trek. We came across these borrowing owls and I got about 8 feet from it to take this picture before it flew off.. great day

That is an angry looking owl. Kind of like someone took his wallet and he's prepping the shallow grave for the body of the offender when found.

Finished documenting and organizing all the sci-fi/fantasy books in my library. 40 pages so far on Google Docs. Tomorrow I'm going to start on miltary/historical. Not sure if I want to bother documenting the other books, but probably should, for the sake of completeness. When I'm done, I'll have it organized by genre, alphabetically within the genre by author, and chronologically or by publication date within each author. I'll know how many copies of each I have, and what I'm missing in each series. Should be a great help for my next visit to the bookstore. It's a pretty big task when one has a literal metric ton of books...

When you're done you should write a book about what it's like having OCD....

;) - truth be told I'm totally envious. Any task like that that I've ever started....I abandon shortly after starting due to ADD. I still have stuff in boxes from when we moved in here 12 years ago. And I can't find my socks. This is also quite tragic since I'm pretty sure that 50-60% of the stuff taking up space in my house is junk - but just the thought of trying to organize and winnow it down gives me the cold sweats. In my mind, it's an insurmountable task.
