Got my youngest off the computer this afternoon and using some woodworking tools, specifically spokeshaves. She made a cylindrical, pointed stick.....I think she was shooting for something more magic wand-like, but she had fun making shavings (awesome tinder) and it wasn't burning holes in her retinas.
She tried using the 11 and a Mora, but decided they weren't precise enough for what she wanted to do. It was fun getting her set up and showing her how to use the tools. Now all I need is to create a workbench of a more suitable size and height for her.

It's unpossible. I don't think you comprehend just how tradewater Tradewater is. If the BK9 were a person, it would follow Tradewater on facebook. If Tradewater says sporks are an abomination than we shall cast down our sporks and we shall only use spives from hench forth, no matter how bloody our mouths become!
