Man that is an AWESOME deal at 1500!! And really close to my location as well.

Thanks fellas!! I cant put my excitement into words :D

Agreed. Soon as i seen it i was like DAMN. LOL

Id have no problems with that though, hell even if i had to give away half the tools for free the price still seems great.

So i got excited about it and was about to transfer money into an account and plan to go look at it... Then I sent the link to my father and called him up... He also thinks its a great deal... BUT... Then he says...

"If thats what your wanting to do i got a better deal, cancel the uhual reservation" And he tells me he will drive an enclosed trailer up here, help load everything up, and drive it back..... Much better than $922 or $1500 LOL

I like the free deal better HAHA.... Now if i had a bunch of extra money id still buy that trailer. I could use half the tools on that lists, and a trailer like that could come in handy... But now the uhual money can go towards other needs.

I appreciate all the info and advice fellas. Glad i mentioned the trailer price on here. I thought it was ridiculous, but thought maybe im just being a cheap bastard LOL

Glad everything is working out. I could probably get my dad to do the same if I end up moving back to Oregon, cept I don't have enough stuff to make it worth the effort.

That sounds like a much better deal ww . Its always nice to have family that will help out.

Coincidentally, I am moving my dad to a new apt tomorrow. He calls me Thursday and told me he needed to move by the 1st! He had mentioned wanting to move a while back and asked if I could do it, but never told me he was actually moving or when. I guess at 78 you forget to tell people things. Luckily I gathered a few friends and we should be able to get him moved across town and still have time for some fishing.

Umm....

Okay, so a few minutes ago, I was in a tree at the bottom of our driveway. Just messing around, taking pics. Then I realized my dog Pip was in the road, so I started calling him back, well, he didn't listen and here come two cars, they see him and go slow. The first one goes on by, the second one stops, looks around like he was looking for people (he didn't see me), then grabbed a rawhide dog treat from the cupholder and chucks it out the window, then drives really slow for about 10 feet, then takes off real fast. I called Pip off the rawhide since I was afraid it could be poisoned (because who the heck carries rawhide dog treats in their cupholder?) So I carried it to the house and threw it away.

Probably overthinking it, but it was really bizarre.

They probably have a dog themselves and were tyring to get your dog out of the road.

I have been on my feet moving all franking day. I am now resting good.

Set up a six side Clam Quick Escape on the porch, bug free zone, got my Kelty zero grav chair and beers and an iPad and breezes and ... Does not duck.

My pool is open and clear, got a solar cover and while the top four feet of water is 70, the depths are ... Not :) so good after today - full sun and breezy but a wee humid in the high 90s.

Made a winder pole for that solar cover, three tens of pvc and joiners, and a T fitting for a handle. Dimple. Cheap. Current ROV is diving and vaccing. Air is chill now too.

Been a day for finding things too. Nothing major. Lost keys. Misplaced this or that. I'm due a cleaning and purge soon.

Got my TBL training book too, so y'all know what I'll be reading. Tractor Backhoe Loader.

Now, a beer. This has been a day, and a week, and a month.

Sounds like you got a lot done. Good day.

People underestimate soaking their feet in hot epsom salt baths. I do it a couple times a week regardless if my feet are sore or not... Always makes them feet great!!

Thanks bud!! And good luck with the move as well...

Not giving you much notice could of been an excellent strategy... Just think, not much time for him to figure anything else out.... And what type of son would leave his father hanging at the last minute :D

I do kind of wish i was getting that trailer though... Twas a good deal indeed.

Congrats on finalizing the move Woody!

I don't think you're over reacting. I'd do the same damn thing. There was a lady on the news just this week; she had two dogs that her son was playing with in her backyard when someone threw some chicken apparently laced with strychnine over her fence. Both dogs went into convulsions; only one made it back from the vets. Her six year old son is devastated. Lots of psychos out there, better safe than sorry…

K :D

Started cutting with my hand saw. Took me about 30 min but I got through the top right corner triangle off :D I'll be picking away at this slowly over the next few months....

Lol Mike, I know all about the hording instinct. I funded my folder addiction with selling off my cheep no name stuff. To my name I think I have 5 or 6 good folders now, and there are more calling my name lol.

Sounds like a full day bladite! and an awesome set up for a porch.

Today was pretty awesome. Got to see the boy play soccer in the morning. Then I packed up my older two and took them up north for some fun at my brother's place. My boy was off with my brother going for a spin on his dune buggy. So I decided to invest some time in with my little girl :D After talking about it the other day I figure hey, why not set her on a better path starting at a young age ;)

Focusing on the shot!

Then after shooting she insisted that she wanted a turn driving the dune buggy. Shes very persuasive and she has practice driving her powerwheels gator... so I said hey why not?

She went about 1/4 mile then got stuck in some tall grass. Then on the way back she tried to run down my brother's girlfriend (haha). After she proceeded to do two doughnuts before calling it quits lol. It started to rain so we then went inside.
They wanted a drink of apple juice... but nobody had a can opener.... Becker to the rescue!

The rain didn't let up so we came home. Fun had by all

Maybe, but by the time he threw the treat, Pip was already in the driveway again and it actually made him walk closer to the road (he threw the treat right on the edge of the road). Plus, he drove past our driveway before he threw it. And it still doesn't answer why someone would have an unwrapped rawhide treat in their cupholder... I mean, I can see maybe someone having one, but it's still a bit odd that he would chuck it out the window and drive off real fast.

Dang... That would suck. Anyone who would do that needs to get the guillotine. Better safe than sorry was what I was thinking, maybe there was nothing wrong with it, but I don't want to take a chance with my dogs. Wish I would have looked to see what kind of car it was and the license number just in case something should ever happen.

Oh no, did you anneal it first??

Seaxes usually have the handle centered o the axis of the blade. You could cut it as such and do a traditional wrap or do a stick tang.

Today was bittersweet. It was the last day of boys state, lots of good memories and lots of new freinds though. Hoping to be able to back next year as a counselor

I'm getting drunk on Redd's Apple Ale. Living across the street from a bar is pretty sweet.

I may have over stated the time a little. I didn't look at a clock it just felt like a long time because I was under the influence of some skill / focus enhancing herbs :D Because of how thick the stock is I was just going to wrap the handle when I was done. I got many different options and the great thing about wraps is its easy to remove if I ever feel like putting on scales. The profile is going to be easy, the bevels are going to be the hard part. But I'll cross that bridge when I get there, and I'll hit y'all up in the knife making thread ;)

I rebuilt the pool pump today (new seals) and got the whole filter assembled and even peeled back the cover a bit and put in some chlorine....then decided to put the cover back on. There is all sorts of $#!+ blowing around and I don't want to get the pool clear and skim like crazy for the next couple of weeks. The weather may feel like summer, but the trees and plants are still on their spring schedule. blooms and blossoms and seeds and all manner of airborne vegetative matter. Just gonna keep on pouring in the chlorine and keep the cover on, at least until next weekend.

Sounds like you got a lot done, Joe. Bet it was nice to have both your gloves ;).

Sweet pics TBL!

You could... Just tell them im taking possession of it FOR YOU :D

Was sitting in my chair watching TV, catnapping more than anything really... I wasnt sitting properly, had one leg thrown over the arm of the chair, and another leg up on the chair with me kind of Indian sitting style. Was comfortable... Went to straighten my leg out and my knee popped... Couldnt straighten it... Tried to stand, used my hands to help straighten the leg and my knee popped again, back into place im assuming.. Painful for a few minutes. Now all stiff feeling with a very slight pain when walking... Never happened before. Weird.

Thanks grandpa ;) how long did you catnap for? sounds like you were in that position for a while. snark.

sound like your knee cap was off tract. Happened to me quite a bit before I got my surgery. It sucks when its a one off... when it start happening regularly its time to see somebody.

Great pics TBL. Had a bunch of those days with my kids growing up.

Thanks Trade!

I want to make it a regular occurrence as they get older  keep them out of trouble and doing something fun :D
