Tradewater-must we revisit the Crocs discussion? Really, if I wanted or needed to jump ashore, I'd like my toes covered. I wear keens most all summer anyway but I'd grab Crocs 2nd if I had to for paddling...
If youre docking in and out I guess it wouldn't be bad but several places I go require a good bit of a trail to get to the water
 
Check out Sanuks too. They're pricey but places like Ross and TJ Max have cheap. Ive had a couple of pair for a few years now and they're super comfy. Just can't slip in and out as easily, that whole reaching your toes jobby doo might put a few folks off lol. The canvas tops are floppy so you can't just step into them unless you flatten the back down....like mine lol
 
So, a story that some of you might get a kick out of. I have been bound and determined to finish my next brass back bowie before Blade. With everything else going on. I just got to it four days ago, I had all of the materials collected, but I litterally locked myself in the shop the last four days and strated from ground up. I got all the parts made, blade cut, ground, heat treated, brass spine set, S gaurd made, malicite and mokume spacers and curly maple handle made, totally assembled then came the finish work today. I thought I would make it, things where looking good. It has 32 gold and silver bezeled emeralds that im enlaying in the tang and brass spine, I machined all the holes and test fit the jewels only to find out that one of the emeralds I got was mislabeled and was the wrong size. That's right, im one emerald short of being able to finish it for Blade.
I hoping the supplier will be able to next day me one stinking 3MM emerald to my cousins house in Atlanta.........:rolleyes: ..........always sumthin.........

Yea id be happy if mine stayed short. The beard however ill let go another month or so and see if the sides lay down. Its thick. Id like to get it longer and then i can shape it up how i want.

Damn fuel pump just went out on the car. There goes $325. Better now than on the drive south though.
