Threw my logo on the hammer head. I think it looks cool there, and it came out nice and deep. But of course if i go pounding on stuff i can mess it up... But thats no biggie, i can easily put another one on it somewhere else later if i choose to.

Not exactly centered, damn stencil was hard to keep right in the middle... Once i got it secure close enough to the center i just went with it LOL

Thanks again bud, its a fun project. Ill order up a handle soon so i can start working on it!!

I'd just go with something easily recognizable and decipherable like JTTDTEDCC.
 
Nice WW! What material did you use for your stencil? Those lines are nice and crisp. Deep too, you say you mix 3 parts FC to one part h2o?

I order stencils, they are made of some type of thin plastic material.

And yes i do 3 to 1 FC to h2o for the acid etch (darkening) but for my logo i electro-etch those with AC/DC and use a solution of vinegar, salt, and a little lemon juice. I honestly dont notice any difference using the lemon juice in the mixture though honestly.... Someone had told me that it could help something a WHILE back so i added it to my etch solution and now that its in it i just use it... Doesnt seem to make anything worse though either.

well, poop, 3 weeks to blade, and i'm looking at airfares again.

best deal with stops is around $500; without stops is $650+ (i like no stops)...

there are VERY few non-stop options anymore. seriously? geez.

plus i don't get paid for time off. that's 1/2 a year of tractor payments...

i need a beer
