By sticking forks and knives in light sockets and wall outlets, of course. Doesn't everyone?

Of course not. The smart ones (I mean me) used a staple gun for a bit of distance.

Bud.... Thats not working here  Things like that dont gross us out. The majority of us are grown. Have experienced life a bit more and seen quite a lot. A lot of us are married, good amount have our own children, which means our wives had to give birth to "offspring/s" and still the majority of us love what came out of that area... And still love that area as well....

This. I caught two of my own babies while they were born at home. And assisted with placenta removal.... and still love that area :D

Yes, but you have never had to help pull out a calf that, unbeknownst to you, had died and begun to get a wee bit "fragile." The vet who travels wasn't in that day, so we had to do it ourselves. It ended up coming out in a few pieces.

*shudder*

And that was just the most traumatizing experience, there have been many more... somewhat less... traumatizing ones too.

While stinky, gross, and disturbing. The only thing going through my mind right now is; Pre- Tenderized and aged VEIL! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Brother your right i have never done that... I WISH that was my most traumatizing event. Now i can understand how that could bother some... But im not one of them. Id feel bad for the animal, its sad in its own right, but id have no issues with the process. Especially on cattle. My grandfather had a farm, im no stranger. Never delivered the babies but was watching pigs/cows/chickens being slaughtered and playing with the organs when i was knee high to a grasshopper. Now... If it was a human child... Id be devastated. But even dogs, i love dogs... but i have also eaten dog...

Spend some time in poor mexican cities, visit asia, NOT just tourist attractions either go to the back cities, go to jail a handful of times, spend more than a couple weeks locked up, hell spend a couple weeks in the hole, get jumped, shot at, cut, multiple vehicle crashes, spend months in an international hospital where vets are being worked on coming from... well all over the world..... some in really bad shape...

Then have kids.... Watch your own child seize up in front of your eyes and then completely go unconscious... Wait till that first real scare..... NOTHING in the world can compare to the fear, heartache, and trauma you feel for your own child. I promise you this, i have NOT lived a sheltered life... A stillborn calf would be no issues for me mentally or otherwise. Hell next time call me and ill do it myself for some good free range farm eggs or some fresh goat milk LOL

Thats rough. Stepping on legos SUCK!!

:D

Not very much about my past could be considered winning though. Im not proud of a lot of it.... Spent a lot of time, effort, and money putting that crap behind me. And still keep to myself as much as possible to avoid issues. I pray my kids dont take the paths i did every day.

Thank you for making me clean my computer screen.... just spit my water all over it when I read this lol. This is a daily occurrence in my household. My kids do a really good job clean it up... but is always that one piece they miss....

Thanks, yah its so odd cause this cat is so loving and sweet. My daughters squeezes and hugs him too much, she even put a dress on him without so much as a care in the world. Suddenly this dog shows up and he decides to give her the cold shoulder. I think it's one part jealousy cause I was petting the dog and not him, and one part the cat telling the dog. "Look at me, I'm in charge here..." Lol I'll wait till the dog gets a little more comfortable in her new home (only day 3) then I'll let them sort it out lol.
Haha - No doubt. I'm sure they'll come to an arrangement. Hell, it may even be an agreeable one.

Hows the pup and your grumpy old girl doing? :p
My poor old girl is as grumpy as ever with the pup. I think my visit was the highlight of my old dog's month. She was quite vocal in telling me about how awful it was sharing the house with a puppy and my Sister's cat (home from college) the whole afternoon after we arrived in town.

You think she would enjoy getting a break from being picked on by Dad's Blue Heeler since the Heeler is too busy playing with the pup to be up to her old tricks, but no.... The pup tries real hard to make up with her too.

Here's a shot Mom caught this weekend when my old Aussie was unaware snoozing in the yard.

It wouldn't be so bad if she got over herself and let the pup in.

Dad's Heeler while we were out playing around in the woods....

By no means did I mean that anything I've seen is worse than any of that, hope you didn't take it that way. It didn't really bother me mentally or anything, "traumatizing" was a bad word for it. I wouldn't say I'm "used" to animals or anything dying, seeing so many sheep killed by coyotes fixed thad, and I have never minded skinning stuff, but seeing dead stuff (unless it's people, but thankfully I've never seen a dead person who wasn't dressed up and in a coffin...) doesn't bother me at all anymore other than being sad for whatever it is. Probably the most 'traumatizing' thing for me was one of the dogs dying... so obviously, while very sad, was still comparatively nothing.

Haha - No doubt. I'm sure they'll come to an arrangement. Hell, it may even be an agreeable one.

Glad she's still grumpy as ever. :D

Pretty heeler too!

Jeeps are fun, I really should learn to drive a standerd :o

but first, there's a spelling test....you fail.

And yes, by all means....EVERYONE should know how to drive a stick (see, that's how us OF's avoid spelling mistakes ;)) because it just makes you that much more versatile in the event you get to drive something....special. Like when the grandfather of the groom drives up in a 1925 Lincoln at the reception and asks if anyone wants to take it for a spin.....if you don't know how to work a clutch, how are you ever going to scare yourself shitless driving that wooden spoked behemoth through the woods in the Poconos, realizing that while you know how to drive a standard, you don't know how to double clutch and to top it off, why are the damn brakes not working without both freaking feet on the pedal?! Still, it was the super FUN and exhilarating kind of scared shitless. All because you learned to drive stick.

Standard, standerd, stendred, stoondured, stondird, whats the difference? ;)

We had dress rehearsal tonight, I got all my lines but one, but there were still quite a few problems, luckily most didn't involve me. :D the first show is Thursday and then we have four more after that.

Haha yes! The one they always miss is that single square one that likes to roll under your foot stabbing multiple times and if it goes end to end it gets bonus points. And always when your half asleep heading to the pisser!

I don't know how Y'all spell it, but that right ther is the okie way, :D

And that does sound like fun. I plan on learning sometime this summer cause I really want to start driving my dads jeep to school. Girls love a guy with a jeep :D

Alright maybe I'm a newb but what are these types of threads? Could have said WTF because...well apparently it's officially in the dictionary

The Snark threads are just a bunch of smack talking nonsense with the occasional actual conversation thrown in. Keep it witty, and you'll fit right in.

edit: Fail to be witty, and you'll fit in even better.

This sir, is the snark thread, or SNide remARK thread.

It's basically just a chat thread to talk about whatever and give each other a hard time

Yep...off topic chat to hone your smartass skills on people you won't actually see the next day and feel bad for being jerky...the best part is everyone here can take a joke...

Applied for another job today, this time at Atwoods, hope I get it.

Applied for to jobs at academy yesterday but got turned down for both because I'm under 18 :(

Wait. People are joking here? Guess I need to write some apology notes.
