Applied for another job today, this time at Atwoods, hope I get it.

Applied for to jobs at academy yesterday but got turned down for both because I'm under 18 :(

Academy is one of the rare stores where the employee discount would be a significant benefit in my mind.

Dunno what any of those are. What kind if job are ya looking for?

Academy is a sporting goods store, basically like Dicks.

And Atwoods is a ranch and home, think tractor supply

I'm looking for a job the has something to do with outdoors, but I'm basically fine with anything that's not food service

Man i got this knife pissing me off LOL... I got the edge nice and sharp, it will shave and push cut paper with ease from the very tip all the way down... Except right by the sharpening notch. Its stubborn as hell. I finally gave up for the night. Ill end up making things worse at this point if i dont take a break.

Maybe its thicker material there behind the edge... Ill have to throw the calipers on it.... tomorrow. But seems like id have to change the edge angle to get that spot the same as the rest of the blade.. Before i started it was already duller in that area. Reducing the degrees per side made it appear worse, just for that one spot, the rest of the blade is noticeably sharper than before i started. Started with 50 grit diamond to drop the edge angle, worked up to 1500 grit and stropped on 4 micron.

Some knives go great... Some... Man some knives are some A-holes LMAO

In other news i just ate an entire can of easy cheese.

I wouldnt of... But Bladite and Daizee told me its healthy :D

Agree, protein in a can!

A non-smoking buddy of mine decided to partake a little bit on the night of his bachelor party (right at the end before I dropped him and another buddy off home). He asked me to stop by a convenience store cause he had the munchies. Dude walks out with two cans of easy cheese, two cans of whipped cream, and two cans of chocolate whipped cream...... finished one of each before we left the parking lot :barf: Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for any one of those on separate occasions but all at once? Apparently his morning after was a little messy haha.

LMAO!! That's hilarious.

Yes sir, and a gratuitous jeep more so than a necessary jeep.

My boss has a '78 Jeep. Bought it a few years ago and it has just sat in his garage and shop ever since. He's about 5'6" and 375lbs and doesn't fit behind the steering wheel. It needs a bit of work and it would be a fun toy, but the rear end is welded, so I don't think it would be much of a daily driver.

Damn... I would imagine there wouldn't be much room left behind the wheel. That could be a real fun one to get a hold of to tool around in though. I imagine that the welded rear wouldn't be too bad. It would go through rear tires a bit faster on the road and churp a bit on tight turns. It still wouldn't be the best to DD though.

I think I would take the welded rear over a Detroit Locker on a Jeep. The Detroit will keep you on your toes driving a short wheelbase vehicle when it decides to go from open to locked when you would rather it stay open or stay locked.... Like on a turn in the rain or anytime you touch or release the throttle on ice. :D When I do it again, it will go to a manual locker.

HAHA!! I remember times like that. I use to go crazy over cereal and ice cream after smoking. Dont get munchies like that much anymore.

Occasionally though... After partaking a bit i forget i no longer have teeth... Its kind of funny when it happens. I have tried to bite a doritos chip, tried to bite the wife... Once went through the entire process of making a sandwich... Went to take a bite and it hit me.. at the very LAST second LOL... I still tried to eat it.... wasnt a beautiful site LMAO

I think they were talking about the can, not its contents.

Nope. They told me saturated fat is good. Cheese is good. Eat your cheese....

I dont always follow directions... But when the directions are delicious i tend to go with it :D

That's cool, I'm not fine with $7.25 an hour. You can make a LOT more money in food service. Even at Sonic my girlfriend gets $7.25 + Tips so, bringing in about $90 a day

I would teach it a lesson and use a big belt sander on it.

Dang, snark is finally moving once again. For a while there I was thinking we should just leave this one at 900 and let it stay up forever and take our snark to the Ka-Bar thread.

You should check out Kevin Smith's standup specials. I'm not sure which one exactly but he tells an even better story where he pretty much bought out an entire store.

Yes, but is it really CHEESE??
The world may never know, he ate the can too - label and all.

Not all food related jobs are bad, but all the good one in my town are taken by college students, which only leaves mcdonalds an the like, so yeah.

And since I'm only in high school I don't really have a problem with minimum wage
