It's been cooling down here now too! 90s last week and this week is low to mid 70s and it's been down into the 40s at night.

hot and humid here. But workfriends took us out on the sound with their kayaks and we watched the swallows mass over Goose Island at dusk. Pretty cool!

Got another hurricane, "Jova", brewing in the Pacific. But this one is headed into offshore oblivion, right for cool, diffusing water.
Meanwhile, back in the desert transition zone, (the temperature) is gonna peak on Saturday right in the mid nineties.

Jova brought us a sprinkling of rain wake up call today just at dawn, and a weekend of higher than average moisture.
I fired up the new B&D bug zapper as soon as it arrived this afternoon, hung one of the two in the garage while I was working on the current grill project. Zap, .... zap, zap, .... it works! 😬🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

We had some rain last night and a few sprinkles this morning, but other than that it's just been a grey kind of day

Congratulations Roy, I hope you reach toward your goals!

I DON'T need to lose weight, but lost 12 or 15 pounds last winter thanks to **cough** Brandonomics **cough**. (Excuse me.)

Out shooting an Air rifle today. I think I finally have it shooting . Walther Parrus I think it's really too much power plant for 177 pellets . I applied Krytox grease to the spring and and shot it in. After 30-40 shots it's pushing 16.1 grain pellets at 750 FPS and hitting nickel sized groups. (I am not great at paper punching) this combo will out penetrate any other pellet gun I have. Even 22 CB caps out of a revolver.

I use a Gamo 22 whisper and so far its actually been getting small game pretty good. I saw a turkey trying to harass a ruffled grouse, it was so in to it, the fox nailed it from behind. I let the exhausted grouse go figuring it was saved by one thing and I wasn't going to be the other to get it that day. We got turkey populations exploding around here. But why it would act that way was pretty weird to me. I heard the grouse fly a few times but it got tired till I zeroed where it was thinking to get it...when I saw that whole thing in front of me. I guess the fox must of chased it and the turkey was at the bird feeder as I came back around. Some more woodsy people I know told me how the turkeys are eating the eggs and the chicks of the ruffled grouse and spruce grouse. As there are no farms with live stock in the area, black spruce swamp and a former norway tree "Farm" or two, no reason to kill the fox. Now my dad's farm...them killer of egg layers DIE!

The zon is really starting to suck. Never had problems until recently. Had 3 items in the last month get delivered to the wrong place. I live in central Illinois, and one package went to Hawaii, one to Chicago, and this last one to Kansas City, Kansas, haha. Dizam.

D'oh!! Guess it will have to be a boomerang now. :-/

buddy of mine is an industrial shop monkey - if tomorrow is a slow day, he's going to fill in the gap with a tig.
