Jerry,
Are they available from Les now? Any clues on a price point? Not that it will really matter :D

Raden - see post #23 of this thread for info...

hey Skunk, how many you buyin' for the store?
if any of the hogs at blade wants to pick up a set of grips in snakeskin for me, i will gladly pay you for them or MAYBE trade some INFI.

We do have some prototype 1911 grips lying around in Snake Skin and other colors  . . . If I can find them, I'll bring them to BLADE. . . If you are a HOG and are interested in a pair for $60.00, you must approach the table slowly, without any sudden movements, and give Garth or myself the Cloven Hoof Salute while whispering the secret code phrase, "Fork Over The Pork OINKER!!!" . . . . :D

Since there are so very few of these, this special offer will ONLY be good for HOGs who attend the BLADE Show. . . . Good luck HOGs!!!:)

And it's only cheating if you get caught!!!

Hell, if you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin!!!

As long as it isn't your Busse Soul....

That would be a breach of porcine proportions...
I thought that statute expires this month? Or is that a different blade?

There is no statute of limitations on the SOUL, ever. It is a to the grave affair.

All this "Busse Soul" stuff is growing right over my head...

C'mon, let's have it.. What am I missing here? Is there a Busse knife named the "Soul" ??

We can neither confirm nor deny the existence of any Busse knife referred to by the name of Soul. Nothing to see here. Move along, move along.

Great! Here I thought that I might be onto something, only to find out that it's one of those things that the Hogs that have one can't even talk about... :grumpy:

Nearly every gun company has a line of knives bearing their mark and design influence. . .but the reverse has never been true. . . until now!!! :D

The official intro of the Busse Combat 1911 at the 2006 SHOT Show makes Busse Combat the first knife company in the world to have a gun produced bearing its mark and design influence. It is being produced by Les Baer Customs and is now part of their standard line.

Here's a not so great pic from the SHOT Show in February. . . . Better pics to follow. . . . Those attending BLADE Show 2006 will have the opportunity to handle these fine firearms and companion knives. The knife that accompanies the Busse Combat 1911 is called the "Jack Hammer" and is an exclusive design for this project and is only available to the general public with the purchase of the Busse Combat 1911.

It is important to note that the "Jack Hammer" is in service with some of America's most elite forces in a desert tan finish with desert tan handles but doubt that any of these will ever show up on the civilian market.

More info to follow. . . several magazines are putting articles together at this time.

I can't stop looking at these things! I went to the range tonight just so I could run some rounds through my Thunder Ranch Special, Maybe trying to convince myself I don't need another high end 1911. No good!!!!! I want one even more than before. I can't wait to find out the details on these things.

Your Thunder Ranch Special didn't come with a badass matching limited edition Busse knife with a badass name like "Jack Hammer", did it?
I was poking around the Les Baer site, and there is some nice stuff there for sure. The Busse Combat 1911 easily is my favorite.

Maybe I'll sell the TRS to make room for one of these.

NAH!!!!! I have had the TRS for 7 years almost and it has had several thousand rounds through it. It is an heirloom gun as far as I am concerned.

There was a guy in the lane next to my shooting one of the new Kimber Warriors, I guess it was a Warrior, the desert tan one with the funky grips and a light rail. He said it was really well balanced. I was running my new SA XD through its paces. Nice gun for the money if anyone is coRS can do better, but I didn't pay under $600 for it. I got the XD as a beater. I am sold so far. We'll see how it fairs when it has as many rounds as the TRS through it. :D

I Just called Baer:

There are two models, a rail model and a non-rail model. Both come with the knife and sheath, and the rail model comes with the light, knife and sheath. Desert Tan finish.

Estimated delivery time: 12- 18 weeks. Taking orders NOW.

the rail model = $3,840.00

Damn. Time to start posting some knives on the "for sale" board.

I'm going down to place my order today.

How much was the non railed?
Almost makes me think of selling off my RDIAS...... ALMOST:rolleyes:
