Bear, another item I want to let you know, is the frame on the Duke is of stainless steel. Not brass like on a 110 or 112. Let us know what you think when it arrives. DM
 
DM, will do. I have to stop looking at Alpha Dorados or I might end up with one of those. I think the 500 will still be first on the list, but it's a tough choice. Decisions, decisions....

Bear, in 2004 Buck offered the Alpha Durado with a blade of ATS-34. I got my wife one and she loves it. A well built model. Ho,-- last night while cutting tape to wrap packages my 334 slipped and fell onto a slate topped table. The edge got 3 nicks in the blade and a flat point. Crumb! So, I worked them out this morning on my Norton India stone. It didn't take long and I'm back to a happy Camper. Thanks, DM
