So, Busse guys: What's on your wrist?

Thanks. The Mare Nostrum is a un-Panerai for a Panerai. Here's my old school Aquatimer. Actually, I sold the one in the picture and bought another one years later for a bunch more money than I had in the first one. D'oh.

Gavin,
What's the model number/vintage of that Aquatimer?

Mark, you could always go for a used Speedmaster Professional on that auction site. If you get one in very good condition or better and don't spend more than $1500 you could get every cent back or nearly if you change your mind. After handling every watch within reason and buying and selling a few, the Speedy remains a favorite. Not too much more than many custom folders out there ;)

still twice what i have spent on any one knife. but ill check out that model.

i like the omega railmaster (like the above) and the rolex datejust.

anyone want to buy a used oj warden? only $2000.00!! ill even throw in a sheath and a sar4 le!!!

Oris makes some nice looking watches at very good prices. I'm surprised we haven't seen any here, yet.

IMO Oris, Hamilton and Invicta are the where you get the biggest bang for your buck in the watch world. A lot of people have bad things to say about Invicta...most of which has been the experience of a friend of a friend but they actually make great swiss watches with premium movements for more affordable prices than most other watch companies. They might face a gaudy rap because of the many tacky watches the DO make, but they also make some very nice ones :D all have a 5 year warranty and they have excellent watch makers and vaults filled with parts to service/fix them if need be. Excellent customer service

The 5 year warranty is with shopnbc that is....they're the main purveyor of Invica watches.

They've also got a bad ass 7751 SWI. Moonphase, day/date/month, chrono seconds/minutes/hours, big seconds/minute hand/hour hand. A pretty complicated movement.

Would be a sob to get fixed outside of warranty I'd think :p

Simple, clean, and good looking. Is that a Yao?

No... not a Yao. No brand really. It's Swiss made with a ETA 2836-2 inside and 200m WR. Cost about the price of a BM on the exchange. Here she is on the bracelet. You guys visit timezone.com at all?

And another on the strap.

Nice one! I was eyeing the black with arabic numerals! That's an awesome watch! Based off the Valjoux 7750 too...excellent movement. AR on both side of the crystal right?

Been a member at Timezone since the late 90s. It's where I got the watch bug and most of my watches have come from the sales forum over there. Haven't been getting by there much lately but it's definitely the best watch forum on the web, like BladeForums is to the knife world. :D

I used to use my phone to tell time. Then I read the Autobiography of Malcolm X and in it be said that he had no time for a man that didn't wear a watch because it meant that man had nonregard for HIS time, and i took that to heart. It wasn't until a while later that i learned I had an allergy to stainless steel, so it was a while before realizing there were watches made of Titanium. After that I learned about the Seiko Tunas, and specifically the Darth. I LOVE that watch.

Amy, in your case the naked arm works because it's AMAZING how quickly you got those ganzaa emails out. You're the best.

Yup, it's a beauty .. the Valjoux rotor inside is super smooth .. so far super accurate. it has double coated AR, it looks like it's not there most of the time!
